Democratic leaders from mayors up to the House Speaker have encouraged the lawless destruction that has been tearing our cities apart. They’ve cheered as black terrorists have torn down statues of white men and even participated in defacing streets with anti-everything “Black Lives Matter” murals. One of those democrats, Illinois Rep. Bobby Rush, says President Trump is trying to incite a race war. He’s right that someone is pushing a race war in this country but wrong about who that is.
Rush was on The Joe Madison Show on Sirius XM pretending like it’s the President who is behind the rioting and looting across the nation.
“Anytime you send a group of armed bandits, outlaws, no uniform, no name, no identification, and you just snatch up innocent people and you take them off to some unrecognized, unknown place, you know you are really terrorizing a nation and for Trump to talk about sending federal agents in Chicago, we won’t stand for it,” said Rush.
The federal agents in Portland are wearing uniforms that are clearly marked as “law enforcement” and they are there to defend a federal courthouse that the local cops refuse to protect. But hey, here’s a United States Congressman, sworn to uphold the Constitution, referring to federal agents as “armed bandits” and terrorists, accusing them of kidnapping people.
As for the Chicago stuff, maybe he should check the news out some time and the 80-plus shootings that go on in given weekend and welcome the help from any place willing to give it.
Rush was just getting warmed up. Check out the single dumbest thing anyone has said since the democrat-sponsored unrest began:
“Trump wants to instigate a race war. He wants to have Black folks fighting White folks s he can rise up and say, ‘I’m the real Grand Wizard of the Klu Klux Klan and I’m the President. Re-elect me.’ That’s what he’s trying to do,” Rush said.
If having ties to the KKK was a winning message, Hillary Clinton would be president right now. Why in the hell would Trump pretend to be a democrat (KKK) in his push for reelection? This makes absolutely no sense.
And neither does accusing the President of trying to start a race war. Racial identity politics are a thing the left uses, not Republicans. Democrats are pushing the violent unrest in cities across the country, not the President.
Finally, Rush doubled-down on his race war theory and backed it up by saying white people are racist:
“He’s trying to play to the fears, to the racial animus that exists among certain white people, and he will do everything and anything to do that, because he wants to be re-elected at all costs,” Rush said.
Making generalizations about a race or class of people, as Rush has done here, is actual bigotry. Using federal agents to enforce existing federal law isn’t even remotely racist.
Democrats are the masters of projection. Whatever they accuse others of is what they are guilty of. Rush says President Trump is trying to start a race war because he knows that’s what his whacko leftist anti-American party is doing in the streets across this country.
And let’s not forget that Rush cofounded the Illinois Black Panthers back in the 60’s. Talk about a group that’s all-in on a race war.
