All the men’s sports are disrespecting this country by kneeling during the National Anthem. The Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA) wanted to differentiate themselves from the dude sports, because people aren’t quite sure, so they disrespected this country by walking off the court when the National Anthem was played. Switching to this form of America-hating is also probably due to the fact some of these “women” can’t kneel just in case their male genitals falls out of their shorts.
Here’s something that ESPN, which is more interested in lefty politics than sports, reported on with glee:
As the national anthem was played, the @nyliberty and @seattlestorm walked off the floor as part of the social justice initiative. pic.twitter.com/VihH5X3Yzh
— ESPN (@espn) July 25, 2020
As you can see, ESPN says these women are “using their voices” as part of a “social justice initiative.” Using their voices implies they have an audience, which they most certainly don’t. I have less than 5,000 followers on social media and run a small conservative blog and I have a much bigger voice than the WNBA.
I have never watched a WNBA game but I’m assuming the way things goes is: the players come out of the locker room, the National Anthem is played, and then they play the game. Since no one else has ever seen a WNBA game either, nobody can dispute my assumption.
In this shameless display of disrespect for the flag, the players came out of the locker room, the National Anthem was played, and the players went back to the locker room. If they want to be assholes (and they do), why didn’t they just stay in the locker room until the National Anthem was over? It seems like a lot of wasted energy to be anti-American in this way.
Adding to the dumbness of a pseudo-sport that nobody cares about, the players also dedicated the season to wokeness:
“We will say her name.”
The @nyliberty and @seattlestorm participated in a powerful moment of recognition for Breonna Taylor ahead of Saturday’s game. pic.twitter.com/ZrRYWqV7nl
— ESPN (@espn) July 25, 2020
“We are dedicating this season to Breonna Taylor, an outstanding EMT who was murdered over a hundred and thirty days ago,” said a player nobody knows, adding, “We are also dedicating this season to Say Her Name Campaign, a campaign to saying the names and fighting for justice for black woman.”
How many things do they get to dedicate the season to? Maybe a better question is, does the WNBA do hormone testing to make sure everyone playing this women’s sport is an actual woman? If that video wasn’t labeled as “WNBA” I would have thought, “tell that little guy to STFU.”
In a related side-note, left-leaning Mediate covered this with as much glee as ESPN, but there was one little weird thing. Check out how their article appeared in my browser history:
Originally, Mediate reported this as the WNBA players walking off during the Pledge of Allegiance. They obviously stealth-edited it to more accurately reflect what happened but they definitely have angry liberal writers who literally don’t know the difference between the Pledge of Allegiance and the National Anthem.
It makes absolutely no sense to me why all professional sports are going balls-deep on this anti-American garbage. Real sports fans are turned off by this and the lefties who love it will never watch sports. For the WNBA, they already don’t have fans so their “social justice initiative” makes even less sense. Are the trying to become the first sports league with a negative fan base?
