Fake News Lies That Sen. Tom Cotton Said Slavery Is A Necessary Evil

Republican Senator Tom Cotton quoted our Founding Fathers, saying they believed that slavery was a “necessary evil” and designed our system to eliminate it. The fake news is reporting that Cotton is the source of this quote, implying that the Republican is pro-slavery. When democrats say terrible things, the liberal media insists we have to consider the context. When Republicans say non-horrible things, also known as facts, the liberal media disregards the context to make it seem like they said terrible things.

Just look at these inflammatory headlines:

Mediaite: Sen. Tom Cotton Calls Slavery ‘The Necessary Evil Upon Which The Nation Was Built’

Vanity Fair:TOM COTTON CITES “NECESSARY EVIL” OF SLAVERY AS GOP ESCALATES ATTACKS ON THE 1619 PROJECT

East Bay Times:Republican Senator Tom Cotton calls slavery ‘necessary evil’

The Guardian: Tom Cotton calls slavery ‘necessary evil’ in attack on New York Times’ 1619 Project

The Daily Beast: Arkansas Sen. Tom Cotton Refers to Slavery as a ‘Necessary Evil’ in Opposing 1619 Curriculum

I’m surprised they didn’t toss in the outrage that his name is “Cotton” something slaves used to be forced to pick. This fake fainting spell from the liberal media is because Cotton did an interview with the Arkansas Democrat Gazette in which he said The New York Times revisionist history known as the “1619 Project” should not be taught in schools. He did however say that it is important for kids to learn our history, including the history of slavery:

“We have to study the history of slavery and its role and impact on the development of our country because otherwise we can’t understand our country. As the Founding Fathers said, it was the necessary evil upon which the union was built, but the union was built in a way, as Lincoln said, to put slavery on the course to its ultimate extinction,” he said.

Instead of portraying America as “an irredeemably corrupt, rotten and racist country,” the nation should be viewed “as an imperfect and flawed land, but the greatest and noblest country in the history of mankind,” Cotton said.

Cotton is not advocating for slavery and obviously he wasn’t directly saying slavery was a necessary evil. These are words he attributed to the Founding Fathers. This is something he pointed out in a tweet:

But hey, fake news gotta fake, so how come they didn’t freak out when Joe Biden used the N-word?

“We already have a n*gger mayor, we don’t need anymore n*gger big shots,” said Biden.

Biden was quoting someone else when he said this but the words came out of his mouth. I’ve not seen one liberal media headline reading: Joe Biden Hates N*gger Big Shots.

It’s not a coincidence that the liberal media only applies its context rule to democrats. They are the propaganda ministry of the democratic party so they have to suspend reality in order to make Republicans look bad.
