Federal Agents have been defending the federal courthouse in Portland, Oregon from a mob of violent thugs in a real-life version of Assault on Precinct 13 for a couple of weeks now. Oregon’s terrible governor has announced that these federal agents will be leaving by tomorrow, but according to the Department of Homeland Security, their withdraw is dependent upon local and state law enforcement stepping up and restoring law and order in the streets. Considering that the liberal “leadership” has been encouraging this violence for 2 straight months, it seems unlikely the federal agents are going anywhere.
Here’s a couple of optimistic and defiant tweets from Oregon’s democrat governor:
After my discussions with VP Pence and others, the federal government has agreed to withdraw federal officers from Portland. They have acted as an occupying force & brought violence. Starting tomorrow, all Customs and Border Protection & ICE officers will leave downtown Portland.

So by Thursday federal agents will leave Portland? Maybe not as reported by Fox News:
Acting Homeland Security Secretary Chad Wolf told “Bill Hemmer Reports” Wednesday that federal agents will not leave the city of Portland, Ore. until a federal courthouse that has been repeatedly attacked by rioters is “safe and secure.”
Wolf said that he and [Oregon Gov. Kate Brown] had agreed on a plan to end “the violent activity in Portland directed at federal properties and law enforcement officers” that called for “the robust presence of Oregon State Police in downtown Portland.”
“We will continue to keep law enforcement officers in the area to make sure that that courthouse is secure,” said Wolf. “Over time, if the Oregon State Police and the plan that has been put in place is successful, and we can responsibly draw down law enforcement assets there, then we will.”
That doesn’t sound like the federal agents are going to leave by tomorrow and neither does this:
The Oregon State Police told Fox News Thursday that special operation teams and uniformed troopers would assist city police and federal agents in the hope of instilling “an atmosphere that affords the removal of the protective fence and restore a semblance of normalcy, while meeting community expectations and our obligations to protect the federal property.”
So they want to get all kumbaya with these violent thugs who have been rioting for 62 days straight and then take down the protective barricade around the courthouse? That actaully sounds like a liberal scheme to fool the feds.
It looks like Oregon’s governor is going to send in state troopers to get the federal agents to leave and once they’re gone, abandon the federal courthouse so “peaceful” rioters can destroy it.
Wolf seems to recognize the potential for deceit, saying, “We will see if the plan that they have put in place will help quell the violence that we have seen around that federal courthouse in Portland, and we are going to take a cautious view of that.”
Wolf also said that the Oregon State Police would have to successfully implement their plan to quash the violence before he would even consider pulling federal agents out. Again, there’s no chance this happens by tomorrow.
Just the fact that this is being discussed like a military withdraw from a war zone shows how completely f*cked things are in Portland. This is like the U.S. military trying to train the South Vietnamese or Iraqis to fight their own fight so we can GTFO.
I don’t think we should wait for the local and state police to step and just pull the federal agents right now. Let Portland burn to the ground. Liberals voted for the clowns running the show and they deserve what comes with that. Maybe next election, people will stop voting for progressive liberal communists.
