Biden Repeats Charlottesville Lie in Dishonest and Divisive DNC Acceptance Speech

Former Vice President Joe Biden formally accepted the Democratic Party’s nomination for president Thursday night in a deeply dishonest speech that repeated the Charlottesville lie.

Biden never misses an opportunity to fulminate against the torch-carrying neo-nazis and their bulging veins, but besides lying about President Trump’s “very fine people” comment, he also grossly mischaracterized the events of that day to suggest that the violent antifa and BLM counter-protesters were—well—very fine people.

“History has thrust one more urgent task on us,” Biden said toward the end of his divisive speech. “Will we be the generation that finally wipes out the stain of racism from our national character? I believe we’re up to it, I believe we’re ready,” he added, trying to sound hopeful.

[Before Barack Obama became president, most Americans weren’t aware that racism from our nation’s past was still a major stain on our national character. Most Americans thought we had gotten past all that and were happy to live in the colorblind society Martin Luther King envisioned.  However, since 2012, Democrats have sought to stir racial tensions and remind White America every day of our racist past, our current “systemic racism” and a whole host of racial sins, including white privilege, white oppression and white fragility. It’s very unlikely that Democrats will be willing to give up this politically expedient narrative anytime soon.]

“Just a week ago, yesterday, was the third anniversary of the events in Charlottesville,” Biden continued. “Close your eyes, remember what you saw on television. Remember seeing those neo-nazis and klansmen and white supremacists coming in a field with lighted torches, veins bulging, spewing the same anti-Semitic bile heard across Europe in the ’30’s.”

Biden went on: “Remember the violent clash that ensued between those spreading hate and those with the courage to stand against it? And remember what the president said when asked, he said—quote—there were very fine people on both sides,” Biden lied.   “That was a wake-up call for our country.”

Apparently convinced that stoking racial divisions will help Biden’s electoral chances, his team has made the Charlottesville lie the centerpiece of his campaign. Indeed, he launched his campaign with the very same recitation of the lie, complete with the vivid description of their bulging neo-nazi veins (and fangs!).

Following Biden’s speech, Scott Adams, the creator of the Dilbert comic strip, suggested on Twitter that Biden had disqualified himself by telling “the most divisive lie in American history.”

The August 11, 2017 Unite the Right rally was organized by white supremacists, but people were in Charlottesville at the same time to oppose the removal of a statue of General Robert E. Lee, and were not part of that group.

Among the counter-protesters of the Unite the Right rally were antifa and Black Lives Matter militants who violently clashed with the white supremacists.

Biden: A Diminished Trojan Horse With an Army of Marxist Transformers Inside

Some conservative pundits and strategists have opined that it may not be prudent for President Trump and the Republicans to make too big a deal about Joe Biden’s cognitive challenges. If pro-Trump opposition goes all in on terms like dementia, senility, or, as President Trump defines Biden’s mental condition, “not all there,” they risk setting the expectation bar so low that all Biden has to do is stay afloat during the presidential debates and at whatever politically organic (not wholly-orchestrated) campaign appearances he might make.

The case was made that if Trump and his surrogates condition voters to expect a doddering, rambling, and often incoherent candidate, Biden can beat the expectation game by simply mouthing pre-approved answers to most conceivable questions and sticking to the script.

On the eve of his acceptance speech at the Democratic convention, it is generally understood on both sides of the aisle that the “Biden’s okay, he’s just being Joe” narrative is kaput. Everybody knows that, sadly, the former VP is not quite hitting on all cylinders. What we have here is a rickety old Trojan Horse the left hopes to wheel back through the gates of governance.

What to do with that?

Biden was not even able to successfully get through wife Jill’s remarks on night two of the convention. What should have been a poignant moment for the Dem ticket served only as another reminder about Mr. Biden’s seeming inability to deliver off-the-cuff the most patent campaign fluff.

Let’s look at some narrative themes that define the 2020 election. Attuned conservatives fully understand the Democrat “chaos campaign,” and the Biden campaign’s “basement strategy.” On the opposite end of the spectrum, the Republican “Biden as a cognitive shell of his former self” narrative has been anything but subtle. Sean Hannity has a Biden gaffe/impairment reel that provokes both laughter and the pull-back reserve that comes with knowing a person is cognitively impaired.

Laughing at cognitive decline is uncomfortable. Even pointing out such decline in the context of unrelenting partisan politics is something nobody really wants to have to do. One wishes the opposition candidate was still in possession of all mental faculties. Under normal circumstances, policy differences could be vigorously debated, and contrasts made, without having to resort to highlighting the fact that the other party’s standard-bearer is certifiably suffering from loss of synaptic function.

And for that reason, would be a disaster if elected to the highest office in the land.

Nobody wants to have to witheringly attack a person in the throes of illnesses like Alzheimer’s disease. Millions of Americans have loved ones or know people who suffer from impaired cognition and memory loss. Just like such diseases present symptoms ranging from mild disruption to complete loss of brain function, the emotional reaction to such diagnoses in people close to those afflicted, depending on the severity of the illness, runs the gamut from manageable grief to life-altering crisis.

Conservatives recall with sadness President Ronald Reagan’s descent in to full-blown Alzheimer’s, and first lady Nancy’s heroic last stand in support of her husband. Reagan was long out of office before experiencing the debilitating phase of the disease.

But if he wins, Joe Biden won’t be.

All the more reason, however disagreeable the task, to focus attention on Biden’s cognitive challenges, and the apparent impairment in his ability to maintain smooth transitions of thought and render them in complete sentences. We’re talking here about diminishment evident even to staunch Dem operatives like James Carville and Terry McAuliffe.

Democrats hope to obfuscate and divert from the issue of their candidate’s mental condition; Republicans and the Trump campaign must continue raising questions about the cognition of the man to whom the national electorate might hand the keys to the kingdom.

Which brings us to this election year’s other big narrative: Biden as Trojan Horse for a swarm of America-haters. A timeworn, once-was “moderate” on the precipice of collapse, being pushed onstage by forces whose aim is to change the nation forever.

On this point, it bears mentioning that even if Joe Biden was not in cognitive decline, even if he was still as sharp a tack as he ever was, he would remain a menacing electoral threat to the American way of life.

Biden’s mental state won’t matter once the DNC, the ingrate Squad, Pelosi, Schumer, Feinstein, Schiff, the detestable Maxine Waters, and the rest of the extremist Democrats get their hands on the levers of power. Even at the peak of his powers, Old Joe could not stave off what these people have in store for America. The fact, incontrovertible now, that Biden is beset by cognitive decline, only makes it easier for them if they can get this rickety warhorse over the finish line. Once wheeled back into the internals of governance, he will become a functionary figure whose presidency sets the stage for an army of Marxist transformers.

Report: With Chicago police already stretched thin, Mayor Lightfoot stations over 100 cops outside home, bans protests on her block to protect herself

Even as police in Chicago are stretched to their limit, Democratic Mayor Lori Lightfoot has allegedly ordered a continuous heavy police presence outside her home in Logan Square and banned protests on her block to protect herself and her family.

The Chicago Tribune reported Thursday that the city has effectively banned all protests on Lightfoot’s street, including peaceful ones, even as elsewhere in the city protests have been allowed to continue and openly supported by the mayor.

According to an email sent by the district’s commander at the time, officers assigned to enforce the directive were instructed to tell protesters “that it is against the city code and state law to protest” and that they must “leave immediately.”

After the warning is given, the street “should be locked down,” the instructions added.

In order to carry out the orders, a large contingent of officers have been routinely stationed outside the home. Fraternal Order of Police President John Catanzara told the Chicago Sun-Times that as many as 140 officers have been assigned to the home at certain times.

One of Lightfoot’s neighbors came up with the name “Fort Lori” to describe the scene.

“Maybe she should move into a high-rise downtown where you can put like 20 officers at the front of the building if need be,” Catanzara suggested, adding, “I get the family safety, but you picked this job.”

“What about all of the officers who are getting projectiles thrown at ’em, fireworks shot at ’em? It’s the do-as-I-say-not-as-I-do mentality,” he continued.

Catanzara is not the only one who has taken some offense at the action. The Tribune noted that the order, which siphons away police resources from other areas to protect the mayor’s neighborhood has led to “some quiet grumbling” within the police department.

Lightfoot defended the move Thursday, telling reporters, “Given the threats that I have personally received. Given the threats to my home and my family, I’m gonna do everything to make sure that they are protected. I make no apologies whatsoever.”

“We have a right in our home to live in peace,” she added.

More colleges implement mandatory anti-racism courses

Gov. Gavin Newsom (D-Calif.) on Monday signed into law Assembly Bill 1460, which makes an ethnic studies class a requirement for students in the California State University system. A three-unit class in either Native American, African American, Asian American, or Latina/Latino studies will be required for students to graduate beginning the 2024-25 school year.

CSU leadership, including Chancellor Timothy White and the Academic Senate, is reportedly opposed to AB 1460, according to the Sundial, CSU-Northridge’s student newspaper, warning that legislation that influences curriculum is a slippery slope.

The Sundial also reported that Hazel Kelly, CSU public affairs manager for the Chancellor’s Office, said AB 1460 is set to cost $16 million to implement.

Campus Reform reached out to CSU for a statement regarding the new requirement. CSU spokesman Michael Uhlenkamp said in response, “the university will begin work to implement the requirements of the new legislation.”

CSU is not the only school system adding a mandatory class on ethnic studies. The University of Pittsburgh on Monday also announced a new required one-credit online course on systemic anti-Black racism and anti-racism that will be required of all first-year students.

It will be offered starting this fall.

Rising Senior and Vice President of Pitt College Republicans Corey Barsky told Campus Reform that he thinks this class should be encouraged, but not required.

“I think you get into slippery slopes when you require things of people that are paying,” Barsky said. “Requirements anger a lot more people and turn people off, but when you encourage, you catch more flies.”

The University of Pittsburgh is also launching an Anti-racism, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Action Plan. Its Division of Student Affairs will now require bias incident report training for staff and student workers. Additionally, Human Resources will add a mandatory anti-racism training module to its required anti-sexual harassment training.

“We must take a closer look at every area within our university—including how we approach teaching, research, financial decisions, policing, recruiting, hiring and contracting,” Chancellor of the University of Pittsburgh Patrick Gallagher said Monday in a university news release.

‘Trump Might Not Accept The Results Of The 2020 Election,’ Says Movement That Still Hasn’t Accepted Results Of 2016 Election

U.S.—Leftists are warning that President Donald Trump might not accept the results of the 2020 election.

These same leftists have spent the last four years declaring that Trump is not their president, that Hillary Clinton actually won because she won the popular vote, and that Trump only won because of Russian interference.

“It would absolutely destroy our democracy if Trump were to decide he won’t accept the results of the election,” said one woman in Seattle wearing a “Hillary Is My President” T-shirt. “We can’t continue to exist as a society if people don’t accept the basic rules governing a peaceful transfer of power.”

“Also, Trump stole the election and is not my president.” She then faced Washington for her evening screaming at the sky, a ritual she performs five times a day.

The party that still believes Al Gore actually won the 2000 election, Hillary won the 2016 election, and Stacey Abrams is actually the governor of Georgia continues to sound the alarm that Trump will destroy our national norms should he cast doubt on the results of the coming presidential race.

Trump dispelled rumors that he will not accept the results of the election, saying that he will definitely abide by the results as long as he likes them.
