The “Invasion Of The Body Snatchers” takeover of all sports by the anti-white, Marxist-inspired Black Lives Matter movement is nearly complete.
With less than two weeks left until the 2020 NFL season kicks off, Commissioner Roger Goodell is again bending the knee to those who hate us for our way of life.
Goodell apparently feels that he has not sufficiently bowed before the altar of militant former San Francisco 49ers quarterback and SJW martyr figure Colin Kaepernick and showed up on something called “Uncomfortable Conversations with a Black Man” to grovel some more.
The commish made the following plea for contrition:
“I wish we had listened earlier, Kap, to what you were kneeling about and what you were trying to bring attention to”
Goodell’s sickening appeasement of those who will never be satisfied is a message to fans that they had better get prepared for the orgy of virtue signaling and BLM worship that is to come once the black national anthem is played at Arrowhead Stadium two weeks from Thursday and then both teams hit their knees for the real one.
Via USA Today, “NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell’s message for Colin Kaepernick: ‘I wish we had listened earlier'”:
NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell expressed remorse for the league not listening to Colin Kaepernick in 2016 when the former San Francisco 49ers quarterback peacefully protested during the national anthem.
Appearing on former NFL player Emmanuel Acho’s social media video series “Uncomfortable Conversations with a Black Man,” Goodell was asked by Acho to publicly express his remorse and apologize to Kaepernick, who hasn’t played in the NFL since the 2016 season.
“I wish we had listened earlier, Kaep, to what you were kneeling about and what you were trying to bring attention to,” Goodell said.
Goodell also expressed disappointment about how the league’s players’ peaceful protests were being portrayed.
“What our players are doing is being mischaracterized. These are not people who are unpatriotic. They’re not disloyal. They’re not against our military,” Goodell said. “What they were trying to do is exercise their right to bring attention to something that needs to get fixed. That misrepresentation of who they were and what they were doing was the thing that really gnawed at me.”
Goodell’s defense of the kneelers who dishonor the troops and all but spit on the flag is consistent with the BLM agenda of demonizing any white people who don’t bow to their agenda and to claim that patriotic Americans are misrepresenting the disrespect toward the flag is nauseating.
Goodell apologized to the kneelers in June when the George Floyd video triggered a wave of violence and looting from sea to shining sea.
The NFL is about to find out whether suggesting that a huge chunk of their fanbase are ignorant bigots is a successful marketing strategy and you can already see the wheels turning that those who choose not to watch the games will be accused of racism.
An entire NFL team made the case for the coming smears of disillusioned fans when the Denver Broncos showed up at a BLM rally wearing shirts with the divisive message of “If you ain’t with us, you against us” – nice.
If tens of millions of fans do boycott the NFL this season, Goodell like a suicide bomber will have wrapped dynamite around his midsection and in pulling the ripcord will have blown up 100 years of league history with the long-term damage being catastrophic.
Once it becomes apparent that the Goodell’s mismanagement has killed the goose that laid the golden egg and destroyed what was one of America’s most enduring and successful brands, the 32 team owners would likely have little recourse than to bring the guillotine down on their own “woke” commissioner.
This time the fans may not come back.
