Americans Know What Time It Is

Via American Greatness

There are many signs, including the announcement of the 1776 Commission, that the conscience of the country is awakening.

riday’s news that Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg died after her long battle with cancer has briefly pushed most other topics off the great chyron running along the country’s metaphysical information highway. Still, there are lingering echoes of some ancient happenings.

For example, a couple of weeks ago, President Trump brokered a peace deal between Israel and the United Arab Emirates (soon to be joined by Bahrain and other Arab states). This was a world-historical event that not even the silence and distortion of the Washington Post, the New York Times, and other Democratic Party mouthpieces could totally obscure.

And then there was the president’s announcement on Thursday that he was establishing a “1776 Commission” to “promote patriotic education.” The announcement came in the context of a White House-sponsored conference on American history, how it has been distorted, and how it might be rescued.

I single out these two items because they underscore things that the Left and the directionless but power-hungry tergiversations of the Left’s NeverTrump enablers have been warning us about since before Trump took office: first, that he is a madman whose blusterings would precipitate numerous wars and, second, he is a crude simpleton who lacks the sophistication demanded by his great office.

How do those charges look now? Every week it seems there is more good news from the Mideast. The last time I checked, Donald Trump had been nominated not once but twice for the Nobel Peace Prize (which led The Atlantic to declare that it’s time to end the 119-year-old award).

As for the crude simpleton wheeze, how about this from the president’s remarks following that conference on American history:

Our mission is to defend the legacy of America’s founding, the virtue of America’s heroes, and the nobility of the American character. We must clear away the twisted web of lies in our schools and classrooms, and teach our children the magnificent truth about our country. We want our sons and daughters to know that they are the citizens of the most exceptional nation in the history of the world.

Boilerplate? Maybe, but forthright boilerplate as the bit about the “twisted web of lies in our schools and classrooms” shows.

Maybe there is precedent for a president wading into the murky waters of left-wing academic rhetoric, but I cannot think of one as explicit and as accurate as this. Adducing the doctrine of critical race theory and some of its operational offshoots like the New York Times-sponsored “1619 Project,” Trump said:

This is a Marxist doctrine holding that America is a wicked and racist nation, that even young children are complicit in oppression, and that our entire society must be radically transformed. Critical race theory is being forced into our children’s schools, it’s being imposed into workplace trainings, and it’s being deployed to rip apart friends, neighbors, and families.

The journalist Christopher Rufo has exposed the astonishing inroads this doctrine has made into major institutions of the federal government—including the Department of the Treasury, Homeland Security, the FBI, and even the laboratories manufacturing the country’s nuclear arsenal.

Take a peek: you’ll find a cadre of highly paid consultants running consciousness-raising workshops whose constant theme is the perfidiousness of American society, especially its free-market orientation and, most particularly, the white, male actors who have dominated its history.

The president mentioned another example, one recently published by the Smithsonian Institution. “This document,” he noted, “alleged that concepts such as hard work, rational thinking, the nuclear family, and belief in God were not values that unite all Americans, but were instead aspects of ‘whiteness.’” Don’t believe it? Take a look.

The president is right that such racialist left-wing agitprop is “offensive and outrageous to Americans of every ethnicity, and it is especially harmful to children of minority backgrounds who should be uplifted, not disparaged.” He is also right that “[t]eaching this horrible doctrine to our children is a form of child abuse in the truest sense of those words,” for it seeks to rob them of a just appreciation of who they are and the nature of the country of which they are a part.

The gravamen of the president’s observations came towards the end. “For many years now,” he said, “the radicals have mistaken Americans’ silence for weakness.” The flagrant and malevolent nonsense of anti-American proselytizing in our schools, in the country’s corporate culture, even in major government institutions on the federal as well as the state and local level has been growing for years.

But there are many signs, including the announcement of the 1776 Commission, that the conscience of the country is awakening.

Democrats threaten violence if GOP fills SCOTUS vacancy: ‘Burn the entire f***ing thing down’

Via The Blaze

‘Over our dead bodies. Literally.’

Democrats, members of the media, and Hollywood figures threatened violence on Friday if the Republican-controlled Senate moves to fill the Supreme Court vacancy left by Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s death.

Reza Aslan, a former CNN host, said, “If they even TRY to replace RBG we burn the entire f***ing thing down.”

In response to Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell’s commitment to vote on President Donald Trump’s nominee prior to the election, Aslan said, “Over our dead bodies. Literally.”

Hollywood screenwriter Beau Willimon said, “We’re shutting this country down if Trump and McConnell try to ram through an appointment before the election.”

Dr. Jessie Christiansen, an Australian astrophysicist who works at the NASA Exoplanet Science Institute, said, “IF THEY RAM THROUGH AN APPOINTMENT IN THE NEXT TWO MONTHS I WILL RIOT.”

Emmett Macfarlane, a political science professor at the University of Waterloo in Canada, said, “Burn Congress down before letting Trump try to appoint anyone to SCOTUS.”

Author Aaron Gouveia responded to McConnell’s commitment by saying, “F*** no. Burn it all down.”

Laura Bassett — who has written for GQ magazine, the Washington Post, Rolling Stone, Cosmopolitan, among other outlets — tweeted, “If McConnell jams someone through, which he will, there will be riots.”

She followed that tweet by saying, “*more, bigger riots.” She has since deleted her clarification.

Brainwashing Kids With Debunked “1619 Project” to Destroy U.S.

Via The New American

Lies by the New York Times in the late 1950s were crucial to enslaving the nation of Cuba under mass-murdering dictator Fidel Castro, who was portrayed by the paper as an anti-communist “freedom fighter.” Before that, Pulitzer Prize-winning lies by the New York Times were crucial in helping mass-murdering dictator Joseph Stalin conceal his genocide-by-starvation perpetrated against Ukraine. And now, it seems, the far-left newspaper and the forces behind it hope that lies about America in the “1619 Project” will destroy the freest and most prosperous nation in human history. Fortunately, the lies were caught early, and they are now sparking outrage and scrutiny nationwide.

The central element of the 1619 Project is the claim that “ant-black racism,” slavery, systemic oppression, and other evils are embedded “in the very DNA” of America. Of course, if America’s very DNA is evil, there can be no change in policy and no possible transformation that would make the nation redeemable. In short, under the view put forth by the Times and its project, the only possible conclusion is that America must die so that something new can replace it. That is the objective. The free-market system is painted as responsible for slavery, too. Because the narrative is based on easily disproven lies, though, a simple dose of truth can neutralize the poison — and that is already happening.

But the threat remains. In thousands of government schools all across America, including some of the largest districts, children are being force-fed the Times’ blatantly false historical narrative about the United States — a history so phony that even left-wing historians have debunked it as ridiculous. While the fake history in the “1619 Project” has been widely ridiculed and totally discredited by virtually every scholar who examined it, including those hired by the Times, the lies are being openly pumped into the minds of millions of captive children across the nation. More jurisdictions are constantly jumping on the bandwagon. If left unchallenged, the consequences of these pernicious lies being taught to ignorant and impressionable young Americans will be devastating.

Fortunately for America, however, the entire scandal surrounding the fake history is causing parents and taxpayers everywhere — and even the President of the United States — to take a much closer look at what is being taught in government schools more broadly. Already, Trump threatened to withhold federal funding from public schools that teach it, sparking a national conversation. And he identified indoctrination in public schools as the reason for the mayhem in the streets. As parents realize that their children are being strategically brainwashed with fake history as part of a plot by powerful forces to destroy America and her liberties, the repercussions and the coming backlash are likely to be even more serious.

The 1619 Project narrative, mostly invented by Times “journalist” Nikole Hannah-Jones and a kook “historian” she parrots, flips reality completely on its head. America was founded on the idea that all men are created equal, a principle that led to it becoming one of the first societies in all of human history to abolish slavery. But instead, the United States is portrayed as a uniquely evil nation. In fact, under the false history of the 1619 Project, America is defined almost exclusively by its temporary tolerance of an institution that has been ubiquitous literally since the dawn of humanity. Instead of celebrating this incredible history of human progress and expanded respect for God-given liberties, the racist project erases it and replaces it with a deadly fraud.

White Bar Owner and Trump Supporter Commits Suicide After Black Ex-Federal Prosecutor Indicts Him for Shooting Looter

Via The Unz Review

Nebraska bar owner and white Trump supporter Jake Gardner committed suicide today after a Grand Jury indicted him for manslaughter, use of a firearm in commission of a felony, terroristic threats, and numerous of other felonies in relation to the shooting of James Scurlock.

The shooting occurred on May 30th during a Black Lives Matter riot in Omaha. Gardner had posted up outside of his bar, The Hive, to prevent looters from attacking his business.

According to both witnesses and footage of the incident, 2 rioters tackled Gardner to the ground outside of his property. He pulled out his gun and fired warning shots in the air, which dispersed the attackers. Another assailant then put Gardner in a choke hold from behind which forced him to shoot and kill the aggressor, 22-year-old James Scurlock.

Omaha District Attorney Donald Kleine refused to charge Gardner, calling the shooting a textbook act of self-defense. This decision was overruled by a “special prosecutor” appointed to the case, former black federal prosecutor Frederick Franklin, who called a Grand Jury after left-wing activists dug up evidence that Gardner was a vocal Trump supporter and critic of Black Lives Matter.

Gardner and Scurlock had never met before May 30th. Former Assistant US Attorney Franklin showed the Grand Jury texts and Facebook messages revealing his political views, which he claimed was important in understanding the “frame of mind” of Gardner, and thus establishing the white man’s criminal culpability three months after DA Kleine decided he was innocent.

A number of bizarre claims were used to try and frame Gardner as a frothing at the mouth racist in the media. A Medium post by a person claiming to know Gardner from June suggests that a reference on his LinkedIn page to being the founder of “EON Hospitality Management” might really be a coded nod to an obscure and short-lived World War II-era Greek ‘Nazi’ Youth organization.

According to reporting by The Gateway Pundit, shortly before committing suicide Gardner expressed concerned that his bail would be set at millions of dollars and he would not be able to afford to pay for his legal defense. Gardner attempted to raise money on Go Fund Me, but the for-profit company took his appeal down for political reasons. If convicted, Gardner would’ve been sentenced to 95 years in prison.

BLM Rioters Awarded Nobel Peace Prize

Via The Babylon Bee (Satire)

OSLO—The Norwegian Nobel Committee has announced the recipients of this year’s Nobel Peace Prize: Black Lives Matter peaceful protesters who burned down communities and violently beat all who stood in their way.

BLM protester and Antifa member Bryce Hapley accepted the award on behalf of all the incredibly peaceful protesters across the United States.

“Nobody has done more for peace than these brave peaceful protesters,” a Nobel Committee spokesperson said while presenting the award to the young man, clad in all black and wielding a bike lock. “Every thrown brick, every bloodied citizen, and every burned-down low-income housing community represents another step toward world peace.”

“This may be the most deserving recipient since Barack Obama.”

Hapley immediately hurled the Nobel medal through the window of a nearby Starbucks in the name of peace.
