When Barack Obama was president, any criticism or attempts at satire were considered racist and met with swift retribution. Remember the rodeo clown who was fired for wearing an Obama mask? Kamala Harris isn’t even in office, and hopefully won’t be, but she’s getting the same level of protection against mockery. A Sheriff’s deputy in Michigan was fired for implying Kamala is a watermelon pumpkin, which isn’t even a thing.

The Oakland County Sheriff’s Office said a longtime employee was fired for what some are calling a racist Facebook post.
The post features several pumpkin carvings named after presidents and a watermelon carving which apparently attempts to depict Vice President-elect Kamala Harris.
The employee identifies themselves as a retired and part-time employee with the sheriff’s office.
Oakland County Sheriff’s Office released a statement that read in part: “The day this post came to our attention, this part-time employee was immediately terminated and is no longer employed by the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office.”
7 Action News reached out to the employee who responded via text with a statement saying, “I worked hard in my law enforcement career and I am proud of the reputation I earned in my 30 plus years of service. I’m not a racist and never will be.”

As you can see, there is nothing that specifically identifies any of the jack-o-lanterns as specific people, but even if the deputy meant for the watermelon one to be Kamala Harris, so what? That’s not a racist thing that has existed before this very moment.
The Racial Grievance Commission laid out very specific guidelines regarding watermelon racism. They tell us that it is racist to depict African Americans eating watermelon or to imply that African Americans like eating this delicious fruit. Nobody has ever said it is racist to portray African Americans as watermelons until now.
Also, Kamala Harris is not African American, so there’s that. There is some argument as to whether she qualifies as black or not, but there is none about her being African American. She is half-Jamaican and half-Indian, while African Americans are defined as African descended of American slaves. She ain’t that.
It’s something Detroit Branch NAACP President, Rev. Dr. Wendell Anthony certainly doesn’t understand:
“It grows out of [the] past and a recognition that often is linked to buffoonery and to less than. Yes, I believe that the intent was purposely structured to diminish and to dilute the significance of the first African American…. as vice president of these United States. To some people ignorance is bliss,” said Anthony.
Yes, ignorance is bliss and Rev. has ecstasy coming out of ass. Or maybe he’s just on ecstasy. Kamala Harris is not African American. She is not the vice president of these United States. She is definitely not the first African American vice president of these United States. Also, it is impossible to dilute or diminish her significance as she has none.
Kamala Harris is a phony opportunist who slept her way into politics. The only thing significant about her is that she keeps getting positions she’s unqualified for and doesn’t deserve. Or maybe that not enough people can see through her facade of bullshit.
The Trump administration may not be helping Team Biden/Harris to transition into office, but at least Kamaltoe is getting the standard liberal minority racism protection plan. Like Obama before her, she can destroy the lives of people who dare to make fun of her.
