There was horrific stabbing at a San Joe, California church last weekend in which 2 people died and 2 other were seriously injured. The killer is a 3-times deported illegal alien with a long criminal record. California’s “sanctuary” policies, which bar law enforcement form turning violent illegals over to federal immigration authorities, has enabled yet another preventable tragedy.
Fox News reports that 32-year-old Fernando De Jesus Lopez-Garcia is a homeless illegal alien who often took advantage of the food and shelter services that the Grace Baptist Church in San Jose. He relayed the kindness shown to him at the church by stabbing 4 people there. A man died at that scene and woman was taken to the hospital where she was pronounced dead. 2 others were seriously injured but are expected to survive.
Lopez-Garcia isn’t just a regular illegal alien killer, he’s a 3-times deported illegal alien killer.
“On three prior occasions, Lopez had been deported and then ultimately returned to the United States,” said the San Jose police chief.
Lopez-Garcia is also a violent criminal with a long record including a 2-year stint in prison for assault with a deadly weapon.
But wait, it gets worse. Lopez-Garcia was arrested earlier in the years for domestic violence, but an immigration detainer was ignored and he was released by Santa Clara County. California’s sanctuary policies forbid local law enforcement from notifying Immigration and Customs Enforcement when they are going to release criminal illegal aliens. ICE could have taken custody of this scumbag, which would have saved at least two lives.
“Here we have catastrophic proof of the abject failure of California’s sanctuary policies. The only person this policy protected was a criminal; permitting him to reoffend over and over again. Had those immigration detainers been honored, or had ICE been notified on any of the other multiple occasions he was arrested and released from local jails, we would have taken him into custody,” said David Jennings, San Francisco ICE Enforcement Removal Operations field office director.
San Jose Mayor Sam Liccardo blamed theses killings on “multiple systems failure” adding, there are only, “very rare circumstances when an undocumented offender has a record of violent or serious prior convictions.”
Actually, he’s wrong. The failures of the San Jose, Santa Clara County, and California sanctuary system is not rare at all. Last year in San Jose, previously deported illegal alien Carlos Eduardo Arevalo Carranza stabbed Bambi Larson. As with Lopez-Garcia, Carranza was arrested multiple times and ICE detainers were ignored, enabling him to commit the grisly murder.
It’s amazing how often the sanctuary system fails, isn’t it? But where are the successes of releasing violent criminal illegal onto the streets? For some reason the California liberals can’t point to anything positive to come from their disastrous policies.
Sanctuary polices have absolutely nothing to do with public safety, they are just leftist bullshit designed to ruin this country:
“Regrettably, politics continues to prevail over public safety, the detainers were ignored, and De Jesus Lopez-Garcia was released to the street,” said ICE field director Jennings.
If Joe Biden is indeed sworn in as the 46th President of the United States in January, he will bring this California garbage to the entire country. America will become a sanctuary nation and the bodies will pile up.
