New York Governor Andrew Cuomo killed thousands by forcing coronavirus infected patients into nursing homes but blamed it all on President Trump. Now he’s cancelling, or stealing if you will, Christmas but says COVID-19 is the real Grinch. As long as the liberal media keeps pretending that his pandemic response isn’t the worst in the country, he’ll never be able to accept responsibility for his actions.
Cuomo held a press conference to cancel Christmas that was embarrassing even by his standards. He started out by listing the things he wants to ban ahead of the holiday season:
“All right, we’re now all happy and cheery, and we’re going to come together, and we’re doing gift-buying, and we’re going to do holiday celebrations. We’re going to start to have meals together, the families coming back together for the holiday season – students are all coming home, religious celebrations during the holiday season,” Cuomo said.
But those things are not allowed under Cuomo’s order which he euphemistically calls the “New York Pause.” And the reason why those things aren’t allowed are because he sucks:
“Yeah. COVID is the Grinch, think of it that way, and the COVID Grinch is an opportunist, and the COVID Grinch sees this as the season of viral transmission. All those things that the holiday season brings, they all increase social activity, they all increase mobility, and they will all increase viral transmission,” said Cuomo.
As if it wasn’t already bad enough that Cuomo is essentially cancelling Christmas, there was this cringe-worthy attempt to seem playful and likable:
“This is the season of the COVID Grinch also. When you hear that holiday music Martian, dint dint dint dint dint dint dint” Cuomo said, trying mimic Christmas music.
I’m not 100% that he said “holiday music Martian” but that’s what it sounded like and he did repeat his “dint dint dint dint dint dint dint” business. It could have been holiday music or it could have been the Martian language. Either way, he’s nuts.
“Think COVID Grinch and be on alert because that is part of this holiday season,” Cuomo finished.
Democrats suck at everything and analogies are part of everything. Cuomo is trying to compare COVID-19 to the Grinch, but he’s the one who’s actually cancelling (stealing) Christmas. He also apparently has no idea what How the Grinch Stole Christmas is all about because there is no comparison.
In the Dr. Seuss classic, the Grinch was personally offended by the joyous Christmas celebrations of the residents of Whoville so he stole all of their presents to shut them up. When that failed to make Whoville sad, the Grinch had a change of heart and gave all the presents back. If COVID-19 was the Grinch, then everybody in New York would be allowed to celebrate the holiday with their families and come Christmas morning everything would be fine.
Considering the death toll Cuomo racked up with his coronavirus response, the Grinch isn’t even a good analogy for him. He’s more like Thanos from the Marvel Cinematic Universe who killed half of all living things in the Universe. Let’s just hope Cuomo never gets his hands on all 6 Infinity Stones.
