The big news yesterday was California Rep. Eric Swalwell’s involvement with a Chinese spy and by “big news” I mean it was completely ignored by the entire liberal media. Even better news for the democrat is that Politico didn’t press him on this bombshell but did give him a forum to blame President Trump for the entire thing. Once again the fake news propaganda machine comes through for the democrats.
Yesterday Axios reported that Chinese spy Christine Fang had infiltrated Eric Swalwell’s reelection campaign as well as his office and may have developed sexual blackmail material against the House Intelligence Committee member. This should be a huge story and yet Fox News reports it isn’t:
However, despite having been a loyal guest on MSNBC and CNN for three years to promote the Russia investigation — including allegations about President Trump being an “agent” of the Kremlin — the latest Swalwell news received almost no attention from the cable news outlets.
MSNBC spent roughly five minutes on Axios’ reporting during the network’s 5 a.m. program on Tuesday without mentioning it again for the rest of the day. Meanwhile, CNN completely avoided the story altogether, both on-air and online. The networks continued to ignore the story on their Wednesday morning shows.
The unflattering portrayal of Swalwell faced similar treatment on the broadcast networks, as ABC, CBS and NBC all skipped the controversy on both their morning and evening news programs.
Additionally, The New York Times and The Washington Post, the revered newspapers who received a Pulitzer Prize for their reporting on the Russia investigation, appeared to not have touched Axios’ China espionage report as well.
But if a Republican ordered a salad with Russian dressing the liberal media would be all over the collusion scandal.
Don’t worry, the entire fake news industry didn’t ignore Swalwell’s ties to a Chinese intelligence operative. Politico gave Swalwell an opportunity to blame it all on President Trump:
Following a report that linked him to an alleged Chinese spy, Democratic Rep. Eric Swalwell suggested the information was leaked to hurt him because of his frequent and loud criticism of President Donald Trump.
While Fang had interactions with other current House members, including Tulsi Gabbard (D-Hawaii) and Ro Khanna (D-Calif.), as well as other politicians, Swalwell is concerned that the information was leaked to hurt him politically.
“I’ve been a critic of the president. I’ve spoken out against him. I was on both committees that worked to impeach him. The timing feels like that should be looked at,” said Swalwell.
A member of the House Intelligence Committee was infiltrated and compromised by a Chinese spy, but the thing that totally needs to be investigated is the timing of this accurate information? What a tool.
Swalwell, by the way, doesn’t deny any of the information in the Axios report:
Swalwell refused to discuss his relationship with Fang, although he did say the controversy was not going to cost him the Intelligence Committee seat.
In addition to having the liberal media advantage, Swalwell enjoys democratic privilege because his party controls the House and doesn’t give a shit if one of them should happen to be in cahoots with communist China.
The major problem with Swalwell’s Trump scapegoating is, the President has absolutely no idea who the f*ck he is. Trump doesn’t concern himself with insignificant losers like Swalwell. Also, if the point was to hurt Swalwell politically, why wouldn’t this information have come out before the 2020 election?
That’s a question Politico chose not to ask because their job isn’t to find the truth but rather to run damage control for the democratic party.
