Democrats Spend Money Boosting Pro-Trump Candidates In Primaries, Hoping They’ll Be More Beatable

Remember in the 2016 election cycle how Hillary Clinton’s campaign spent time and money boosting Donald Trump during the Republican primaries because she thought he’d be easy to beat? Not only was it sleazy, it backfired spectacularly. Proving they are scumbags who never learn from their mistakes, democrats are dropping serious cash on boosting pro-Trump candidates in primaries because they think they’ll be more beatable in the general election.

Axios reports:

Democratic groups are buying ads touting some of the most extreme pro-Trump candidates in Republican primaries around the country — meddling in GOP contests to set up more favorable matchups in November.

The risky gambit assumes general-election voters will reject candidates who embrace conspiracy theories or lies about the 2020 election. But it could dramatically backfire by vaulting fringe Republicans into national office.

It can’t be a coincidence that democrats are constantly using dirty tricks to cling to power. Here’s some of their sleaze ball shenanigans:

Ahead of last week’s primaries, the Nancy Pelosi-affiliated House Majority PAC funded a 30-second TV ad promoting self-declared “Trump Conservative” Chris Mathys against moderate Republican Rep. David Valadao in California’s 22nd District.

Meanwhile in Colorado, a new Democratic super PAC cut a TV ad boosting far-right, election-denying state Rep. Ron Hanks in the June 28 GOP primary to decide who will take on Sen. Michael Bennet (D-Colo.).

In the Pennsylvania governor’s race, the state Democratic Party used campaign resources to boost Republican state Sen. Doug Mastriano — who has been subpoenaed by the House Jan. 6 committee for his involvement in the pro-Trump “Stop the Steal” campaign.

In Illinois, Gov. J.B. Pritzker and the Democratic Governors Association are spending millions to hurt Black veteran Richard Irvin’s chances in the GOP primary and highlight the conservative bona fides of his rival, state Sen. Darren Bailey.

Not only is that last one sleazy, it’s racist. Imagine if the GOP was spending money to hurt a black democrat’s chances.

This is the democrats admitting they can’t win on their ideas or records. Obviously democrats can’t win without cheating but they don’t usually say that part out loud. Now they have because money talks.

It’s also an admission that all of their doomsaying about Trump and “Ultra-MAGA” Republicans has been a complete load of bullshit. They’ve been telling people that Trump and Trump-endorsed Republicans are so dangerous to democracy that they can’t be allowed to hold office. Welp, they’re dropping millions of dollars to boost pro-Trump candidates so apparently that threat to democracy was a crock of shit.

Besides being a dirty tactic, this is also a trademarked democratic party waste of money. Trump-endorsed candidates are kicking ass all over the electoral map. The democrats didn’t need to spend a dime to achieve what they wanted.

This points to yet another democratic party failure: the people are speaking with their votes and want MAGA Republicans because they are the only ones addressing the issues that Americans care about. The people want affordable food and gas. They want secure borders and safe streets. The democrats are pushing high taxes, free abortions, defunding the police, and tearing up the Constitution.

Maybe the democrats should have spent the money for their scumbag project on some market research to see what people outside of NY and Cali give a shit about.
