Apparently seeing an ad for a holster is incendiary enough to make people commit acts of violence at Biden’s inauguration because Facebook is banning all gun accessory advertisements until after Crazy Joe is sworn in. It’s unclear how the social media dictators determined a link between firearms accessories and leftist violence (the only kind that’s bound to happen), but then again it’s probably just another excuse to purge their platform of anything conservative.
In a blog post titled, Our Preparations Ahead of Inauguration Day, the ironically named VP of integrity, Guy Rosen, explains how they will be protecting the Joe Biden swearing in ceremony:
We are banning ads that promote weapon accessories and protective equipment in the US at least through January 22, out of an abundance of caution. We already prohibit ads for weapons, ammunition and weapon enhancements like silencers. But we will now also prohibit ads for accessories such as gun safes, vests and gun holsters in the US.
“Guy sees gun safe ad on Facebook, then goes on killing rampage in Washington D.C.” is literally the least likely thing to ever happen. Actually, Joe Biden legitimately winning the 2020 presidential election is the least likely thing to happen, but this is a close second.
Since they are doing this “out of an abundance of caution” why not just ban everything on Facebook? Posts about those delicious margaritas at Cha-Cha’s could incite people to drunkenly attack the Capitol. Picture’s of cousin Karen’s insufferable kids making a mess in the kitchen could drive people to trash Washington D.C. You never can be too careful when it comes to censorship.
In reality, if Facebook wanted to ban things that might result in violence on Inauguration Day, they’d start by suspending the accounts of Antifa and Black Lives Matter members. They’d ban ads for black hoodies and face masks, pepper spray and batons, and concrete and milkshake cups. But obviously that’s not what Facebook’s goal is here.

And, as we did in the weeks after the presidential election, we are promoting accurate information about the election and the violence at the Capitol instead of content that our systems predict may be less accurate, delegitimizes the election or portrays the rioters as victims.
We are now removing content containing the phrase “stop the steal” under our Coordinating Harm policy from Facebook and Instagram.
We are also restricting some features for people in the US based on signals such as repeat violations of our policies. These restrictions include blocking these accounts from creating live videos or creating an event, Group or Page.
So that’s a blanket ban on anyone who rightly thinks the 2020 presidential election was stolen and all people who don’t buy the liberal media narrative that the mild Capitol protests, orchestrated by leftists, destroyed our democracy? In other words, only mindless liberal sycophants are allowed on Facebook at this point. Critical thought, skepticism, and most of all conservative views are banned.
Facebook actually is protecting Joe Biden’s inauguration as well as his presidency, just not in the way they claim. By cracking down on conservatives, they are only allowing one point of view that is friendly to the democratic party. It’s the same thing dictators do to crush all dissent.
