As part of their purge of everything on the right, democrats have been trying to expel Republican Members of Congress for supporting President Trump’s election challenge, which they say incited the Capitol protests/riots/insurrection. In their haste to impeach Trump a second time, the democrats have accidentally destroyed their own BS narrative by claiming that Trump was “singularly responsible” for inciting the Capitol breach last month. It looks democrats will have to find some other reason to accuse the GOP of white supremacy, but I’m sure they’re up to the challenge.
Republican Senators Ted Cruz and Josh Hawley, along with dozens of House Republicans, stood with President Trump that the 2020 election was fishy and intended to challenge the Electoral College vote tally from certain suspect states. Then, mostly leftists stormed the Capitol and Joe Biden was installed as the illegitimate President of the United States.
Not content with having stolen the election, democrats screamed that these Republican lawmakers had incited the mostly-leftist mob who breached the Capitol by siding with Trump on the election fraud issue. They even branded the Republicans as white supremacists who should be expelled from Congress and AOC actually accused Ted Cruz of trying to murder her.
Welp, those dimwitted democrats done busted their own bullshit narrative as CBS reports:
In a memorandum filed ahead of the second impeachment trial of former President Donald Trump, the House Democrats who will prosecute the case argued that Mr. Trump was “singularly responsible” for the January 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol by a mob of his supporters that left five people dead.
“President Trump’s responsibility for the events of January 6 is unmistakable,” the managers said in their 80-page brief, adding that the former president’s “conduct must be declared unacceptable in the clearest and most unequivocal terms.”
“President Trump endangered the very constitutional system that protects all other rights, including freedom of expression,” the managers wrote. “It would be perverse to suggest that our shared commitment to free speech requires the Senate to ignore the obvious: that President Trump is singularly responsible for the violence and destruction that unfolded in our seat of government on January 6.”
If, as the House democrat impeachment managers say, Trump is singularly responsible for the events of January 6, that also means that Congressional Republicans share absolutely none of the blame in their eyes. This is a complete and total vindication of all Republican lawmakers for a crime made up entirely by the democrats.
Does this mean AOC is going to apologize to Ted Cruz? Will the Loon Squad stop calling Republicans white supremacists? Will Nancy Pelosi retract her statement that Republicans are the “enemy with?” Unlikely. These people are crazy and they have a hard time keeping their lies in order, so they don’t even realize what they’ve done.
The democrats’ impeachment case against Trump is even weaker than the one he was acquitted in the first time around. Now, because of this brief, after they fail again to get a conviction they can’t even go back and try to expel Republicans from Congress. This is what happens when you put the dipshits in charge of shoveling the manure.
