I’m as shocked as anyone that the democrats’ calls for unity and healing are complete BS. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi just called Republicans “the enemy” while accusing them of bringing guns to the House floor to threaten the lives of democrats. Luckily, Pelosi has an expensive solution to a made-up problem and says she’s going to fund extra security for democrats to protect themselves against their Republican colleagues.
In her weekly address, Pelosi went completely bonkers:
“We will probably need a supplemental [budget] for more security for members when the enemy is within the House of Representatives — a threat that members are concerned about in addition to what is happening outside,” said Pelosi.
When asked what she meant about the enemy within, Pelosi clarified:
“It means we have members of Congress who want to bring guns on the floor and have threatened violence on other members of Congress,” Pelosi said.
Wow. When did that happen? It seems like if a Republican threatened a democrat on the House floor with a gun, that it would have made the news.
Pelosi then explained that the new funding flowing to House democrats would be used to hire private security guards as well as to buy bullet-proof vests.
“This is very, very important. It shouldn’t be. It shouldn’t be that not only is the president of the United States inciting an insurrection but keeps fanning the flames endangering the security of members of Congress to the point that they’re even concerned about members in the House of Representatives being a danger to them,” said Pelosi.
She is right that this should be important because it’s not. Also, somebody should tell her that Trump isn’t the President of the United States anymore. Either she’s pulling that thing like how she thought Bush was still president during Trump’s term or she now believes Joe Biden is inciting insurrection. Whatever it is, it demonstrates that her mind is gone, which puts her in sync with the current dementia-suffering occupant of the White House.
So does the fact that she is hustling up money for democrats to defend themselves against Republicans, who she says are bring guns on the House floor and threatening her caucus. I can’t help but to notice that nobody from the liberal media is fact-checking her on this ridiculous and easily disproven statement.
Pelosi went on to say, “What I’m concerned about is the Republican leadership in the House of Representatives,” calling them “appalling” because, “they’re not interested in gun safety and gun violence prevention.”
So because Republicans refuse to violate the 2nd Amendment by supporting her unconstitutional gun control agenda, they are the enemy and the people have to pony-up so democrats can hire private security and bullet-proof vests? I guess that makes “liberal sense” but here in the real world it’s completely bat-shit crazy.
A week into Joe Biden’s illegitimate presidency and already the unity and healing messages are gone. Nancy Pelosi has branded the entire GOP as her enemy and is demanding a paramilitary armed force to combat them. I kind of thought it was going to take weeks to get to this point.
