Body Cam Theater! Today’s Episode: ‘On The Waterfront’

There’s no Marlon Brando, no Karl Malden, no cries of, “Stellllllllaaaaaaa!” to be heard in this sequel to ‘On The Waterfront.’ Only a desperate individual holding a knife and screaming, “Do it!” followed by a few rounds of gunfire and a corpse crumpling in a heap on the streets of Seattle.

Komonews reports:

Seattle Police release bodycam footage of deadly officer-involved shooting at waterfront

SEATTLE — Authorities released bodycam footage Wednesday night chronicling the moments leading to two Seattle officers fatally wounding a man in crisis that was wielding a kitchen knife Tuesday night near the waterfront.

The deadly officer-involved shooting marked the second fatal SPD officer-involved shooting in the past week.

You can read about that first shooting in a well-written article on 770KTTH Conservative Talk Radio.

That shooting of a black man who had shot and killed one woman, critically wounded another, and then shot at police, of course ignited “protests” because . . .

. . .

Yeah. I’ve got nothin’.

Because Seattle is my best guess.

You can also watch that shooting here. Not sure why they put an age restriction on it as it is completely lacking in the type of gore that I like to see in my body cams, so don’t get your hopes up.

Now back to our feature film:

Good work. Keep stackin’ ’em up, officers.

Port of Seattle Police called SPD officers around 9:20 p.m. to report a man in crisis wielding a knife along Alaskan Way at Seneca Street. When SPD officers arrived, they found a man with the knife who had cut himself, heading off down Alaskan Way.

Officers tried to use non-lethal tools to subdue the man, but they were ineffective, according to Seattle Police. The man then came at the officers, prompting two officers to open fire, police said.

The man was struck by the gunfire and died at the scene, police said.

Maybe the “protesters” are still a bit worn down from their activities the previous week and need to re-energize because I can’t find any news of “protests” over this totally justified shooting, but it’s a safe bet there will be some because . . .

. . .

Seattle.
