Here’s one campaign promise Joe Biden gets half-credit for not breaking. The illegitimate president said he would reopen the schools in his first 100 days and he’s kind of doing that. The flood of illegal alien children he invited in will receive in-person learning in San Diego while the American citizen students in the county continue to be taught on Zoom. Once again the Biden administration shows where its loyalties are.
The San Diego Union-Tribune reports that the San Diego Convention Center will be used to house hundreds of unaccompanied minors apprehended illegally crossing the border:
The first unaccompanied migrant children arrived at the San Diego Convention Center late Saturday as the building transitions to be a temporary facility for teenage girls who recently crossed the southwest border into the United States.
The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services said it would receive roughly 500 teenage girls on the facility’s first day in operation. The department did not respond to a request for comment to confirm the final number of arrivals.
And Fox News reports that those illegal alien children will be getting in-person schooling:
Teachers from San Diego Unified School District are teaching migrant children in person before their own students, Fox News has learned.
SDUSD students are currently learning in an online-only format and are expected to move into a hybrid model on April 12, where they will be learning in a combination of in-person and online formats, according to the school district’s website.
“The San Diego County Office of Education (SDCOE) is providing the educational program for the unaccompanied migrant children who will be staying at the San Diego Convention Center through July. All children in California, regardless of immigration status, have a constitutional right to education. We also have a moral obligation to ensure a bright future for our children,” said an SDCOE spokesperson.
“Our children” are American children, not illegal border jumpers. Illegal aliens, as non-citizens or legal residents, do not have any Constitutional rights, including education.
“The educational program will include English language development and social-emotional learning opportunities. The teachers who are participating in the program are doing so voluntarily, and the program is following a COVID-19 screening protocol based on guidelines from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention,” the spokesperson said.
It certainly looks like the Biden administration is preparing these illegals for permanent resident status. Will they also be instructed on how to vote for democrats? I think that’s a given.
Meanwhile…
“We have 130,000 kids who haven’t been allowed in a classroom for over a year in the San Diego Unified School District. It’s great that there’s in-person learning for those unaccompanied minors from Central America, but I wish every child in San Diego County was allowed the same opportunity for in-person teaching,” said San Diego County Supervisor Jim Desmond.
And an SDUSD parent added, “The system is broken when San Diego teachers are teaching migrant children in person, but the 100k students of taxpaying families at San Diego Unified School District are stuck learning in Zoom school.”
Oh I think the system is working exactly as designed by Biden and the democrats.
Joe Biden has repeatedly said that illegal aliens are more American than Americans and as such he feels they deserved to be treated better. Also, now he gets to brag that he’s been able to reopen some schools like he promised.
