A Government of Thugs, by Thugs, for Thugs

Via American Greatness

The Democrats seem to have taken their cues from earlier totalitarians in the way they have built bridges to the world’s thug population.

In The Origins of Totalitarianism, a massive work first published in 1951, Hannah Arendt, a refugee from Nazism, noted striking similarities between Hitler’s and Stalin’s regimes. In both of those state-of-the-art tyrannies, the governing classes forged a mutually profitable alliance with society’s criminal elements. These totalitarian governments, which were concerned with ferreting out and removing opposition, took full advantage of their unsavory connections.

They enlisted inveterate criminals to spread terror, lest anyone question their ruthlessness in settling scores. The designation that the father of the late Hitler biographer Joachim Fest ascribed to the Third Reich as a “Verbrecherstaat” (criminal state) was true in two senses. Not only did the Nazis break those laws that characterize civilized societies. They also incorporated criminals into their political operation and often rewarded them. But the party leadership also eliminated some of these hellraisers when they were no longer useful, as Hitler did with the Brown Shirts in 1934.

Readers who suspect I intend to attribute these characteristics to the government that the Democratic Party and its allies are inflicting upon us have guessed correctly.

The Democrats seem to have taken their cues from earlier totalitarians in the way they have built bridges to the nation’s thug population. Not only did Democratic leaders like Kamala Harris spend last summer inciting Black Lives Matter and Antifa mobs and bailing out these practitioners of violence, Democratic appointees in the military, up to and including Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin, are teaching soldiers to revere BLM vandals while being put on guard against “domestic terrorists”—i.e., Republican voters. Antiwhite mobs that burn down cities and shoot police have been redefined as “antiracists” and are depicted as the natural allies of soldiers and the Secret Service.

Similarly, the lawlessness at our southern border has been abetted by the Biden Administration to enlarge the constituency of the Democratic Party. Indeed, Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas has removed from his advisory board anyone who still clings to the idea of legally required border control. No wonder Kamala Harris laughed when asked whether she would visit the Southern Texas border.

A “crisis” caused by the continuing invasion of illegals does not exist for Harris. Violating entry laws may be exactly what she wants if it results in turning Texas blue. Unlike the Trump voters who are treated as racists and terrorists, the illegals rushing across our Southern border can benefit the present regime.

Nor is it of any concern to the Democratic administration that drug cartels and MS-13 are entering the United States from Mexico. These criminals may also assist the present administration by keeping the Democrats’ opposition from the polls, an activity that the obliging BLM performed last November. Indeed, BLM was given a place at the table of honor when the electronic media giants and other woke capitalists and, not surprisingly, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, planned the necessary steps to ensure the electoral defeat of President Trump.

Financial Tyranny: Footing the Tax Bill for the Government’s Fiscal Insanity

By John W. Whitehead & Nisha Whitehead

We’re not living the American dream. We’re living a financial nightmare.

The U.S. government—and that includes the current administration—is spending money it doesn’t have on programs it can’t afford, and “we the taxpayers” are the ones who will be forced to foot the bill for the government’s fiscal insanity.

We’ve been sold a bill of goods by politicians promising to pay down the national debt, jumpstart the economy, rebuild our infrastructure, secure our borders, ensure our security, and make us all healthy, wealthy and happy.

None of that has come to pass, and yet we’ve still been loaded down with debt not of our own making.

This financial tyranny works the same whether it’s a Democrat or Republican at the helm.

Let’s talk numbers, shall we?

The national debt (the amount the federal government has borrowed over the years and must pay back) is $28 trillion and growing. That translates to roughly $224,000 per taxpayer.

The government’s answer to the COVID-19 pandemic has been to throw more money at the problem in the form of stimulus checks, small business loans, unemployment benefits, vaccine funding, and financial bailouts for corporations. All told, the federal government’s COVID-19 spending has exceeded $4 trillion.

The Biden administration is proposing another $2 trillion in infrastructure spending.

The amount this country owes is now greater than its gross domestic product (all the products and services produced in one year by labor and property supplied by the citizens). And the top two foreign countries who “own” about a third of our debt are China and Japan.

That debt is also growing exponentially: it is expected to be twice the size of the U.S. economy by 2051.

Essentially, the U.S. government is funding its very existence with a credit card.

‘No toilet paper, again?’ Brace yourself for a new wave of shortages

Via Yahoo News

Who can forget last year’s empty store shelves and pandemic panic shopping, right? Cleaning products, hand sanitizer and toilet paper were all but impossible to find, and only recently have name-brand disinfectant wipes and sprays begun showing up in stores again,

Well, brace yourself, because another product shortage is looming — and yes, it may very well become tough to find toilet paper again.

Major problems with international shipping are likely to make t.p. and some other items scarce, and could bring a return of hoarding. Here’s a lowdown on the situation, plus some tips on how to keep getting what you need, and at the right price.

Products are having difficulty getting to their destinations around the world because of twin crises on the high seas that have simultaneously bogged down global commerce.

For six days, Egypt’s Suez Canal was blocked by a giant cargo vessel that got stuck and held up hundreds of other ships on a route that handles about 12% of world trade. The Ever Given — about as long as the Empire State Building is tall — was finally freed Monday, but analysts say it could take more than a week to clear the backup.

Meanwhile, a shortage of shipping containers also is causing problems in the cargo transport industry. Many of the factories that build the giant metal boxes are in China — and a number of them shut down in the early days of the COVID crisis, cutting supplies short.

The companies that produce the containers were caught off guard as international trade started to rebound from the pandemic during the second half of 2020. A wide range of things, including cars, clothing, toys and raw materials, ship in the containers, so manufacturers are having difficulty getting their goods to market.

Which products will be affected?
Grocery prices were already rising faster than inflation. Now, shortages related to the shipping troubles could push up prices for an array of items — and force you to find creative ways to save.

Given the situation in the Suez Canal and the container crunch, several types of products could become harder to find before long.

One of the companies impacted by the container crisis is Suzano SA. The Brazilian company is the world’s largest producer of wood pulp, used to make toilet paper, and it’s warning that the lack of containers could slow shipments to its production partners.

Suzano CEO Walter Schalka told Bloomberg his company shipped less product in March than anticipated and has been forced to delay some shipments into April. A global shortage is possible.

Dreading a return of last year’s barren toilet paper aisles and inflated prices? To help relieve supermarket stress, use an app when you shop that rounds up your purchases to the nearest dollar and invests your “spare change.” Then, you just watch the money grow.

“Traumatized” Journalists Are Now Declaring Themselves A “Marginalized” Group

By Michael Tracey/Substack

After I published a post this week about elite journalists’ increasing reliance on “therapeutic trauma jargon” to make professional demands, one of the journalists mentioned really went out of her way to confirm the core thrust of the post. Felicia Sonmez, a national political reporter at the Washington Post — I repeat, not some lowly precarious freelance rando, but a national political reporter at the Washington Post — appeared to claim I was morally derelict in failing to investigate her private health history before writing the Substack item. As it turns out, she’d had an especially fraught medical appointment the previous day, which I apparently should’ve known about. And so in publishing that post I was attempting to “silence trauma survivors” such as herself.

And so in publishing that post I was attempting to “silence trauma survivors” such as herself.

The Report provides another avalanche of evidence for how mainstream and institutionalized this style of therapeutic trauma jargon is rapidly becoming. A category distinction is drawn between “non-traumatized” versus “traumatized” journalists, indicating how “traumatized person” has been distilled into some sort of nifty identity-label you can just affix to yourself at your convenience. Which then, of course, “intersects” with your approximately 10,000 other approved identity traits. As the Report explains: “When online abuse drives women, LGBTQIA+, BIPOC, and minority writers and journalists to leave industries that are predominantly male, heteronormative, and white, public discourse is impoverished.”

Dr. Fauci Predicts At Least 3 More COVID Variants May Be Required To Completely Break America’s Spirit

Via The Babylon Bee

U.S.—As America looks forward to leaving the pandemic behind and getting back to normal, Dr. Fauci went on a media tour to say “not so fast!” According to America’s wisest sage, there are new, exciting, and dangerous variants of COVID-19 on their way, which may require another round of lockdowns.

“America’s spirit isn’t completely broken yet,” said Fauci. “There are still a few pockets of hope and optimism out there. I estimate that at least 3 or 4 more variants of the virus may be required to fix that and completely break America’s spirit once and for all.”

Democrats are hoping that a few more lockdowns will do the trick of breaking down resistance to government spending, vaccine passports, and The Green New Deal.

“America spent two centuries cultivating a brave and independent spirit– it’s just gonna take a bit more time to finish breaking that down,” said computer chip tinkerer and human being tinkerer Bill Gates.

“Just be patient,” said Fauci. “This will all be over soon.”
