There was a fatal officer-involved shooting of a black man in Minnesota, which means it’s time for rioting and stupid takes. Black lIves Matter is handling the destruction and looting while Rep. Rashida Tlaib is on the stupidity thing. The Loon Squad member is demanding an end to all police and incarceration, saying the justice system is too racist to be reformed.
Sunday in the Minneapolis suburb of Brooklyn Center, police pulled over 20-year-old Duante Wright for having expired tags. Officers soon learned that the black man had a warrant for a gun crime and tried to arrest him. Wright broke free from officers and jumped back in his car in an attempt to escape. That’s when a white female officer shot him:
Apparently the officer thought she was holding her Tazer instead of her gun and the shooting was accidental. Certainly the officer bears responsibility for this accident and she will be held accountable, but the entire thing could have been avoided if Wright hadn’t resisted arrest.
The professional victim class and the perpetually aggrieved completely disagree and are rioting in the streets, looting for justice. Which brings us to Michigan Rep. Rashida Tlaib. This is her reaction:
It wasn’t an accident. Policing in our country is inherently & intentionally racist.
Daunte Wright was met with aggression & violence. I am done with those who condone government funded murder.
No more policing, incarceration, and militarization. It can’t be reformed.

It clearly was an accident. The officer was yelling “Tazer” before she accidentally shot Wright. She thought she had her Tazer but she had her gun instead. She perhaps could have used a little more training, but nobody watching that video thinks she intentionally shot him. She even said “Holy shit, I just shot him” after she discharged her firearm, indicating that it was as much of a surprise to her as it was to Wright.
Wright wasn’t met with aggression and violence, he created it. He was being calmly arrested for a firearms violation when he tried to escape. Had he accepted the fact that he was busted, he would still be alive today.
Tlaib calls this “government funded murder” but it’s actually taxpayer funded policing. It’s that thing that keeps the crazies from killing us all and descending our country into total chaos. Tlaib however says policing is racist and can’t be reformed so therefore those things must be eliminated.
Here’s a fair question: With no cops or threat of punishment, what’s to stop people from doing things to Tlaib and her family? She has to know she is a polarizing figure with a multitude of enemies. I’m not suggesting that anyone should do something to her but it’s a fact that she relies on the police and the justice system to keep her safe.
I also don’t remember Tlaib demanding that the Capitol police stand down on January 6 when a bunch of leftists stormed the Capitol. She didn’t tell them that they were upholding a racist system or direct them to go home. She instead thanked officers for stopping a mob from reaching her and other hysterical democrats.
“Defund the police” has now become “obliterate the justice system” according to Rashida Tlaib. That ain’t going to happen, but if she feels this strongly about it, she can voluntarily opt out of the law enforcement protection she enjoys. In fact, if she doesn’t, she’s a hypocritical piece of shit.
