Social media giants continue to put the hammer down on dissenting voices and news stories contradictory to the legacy media narrative.
James O’Keefe, founder of the non-profit guerrilla journalism outlet Project Veritas, has been permanently banned from Twitter due to a violation of platform rules. Twitter claimed without evidence that O’Keefe had “artificially amplified conversations” by “operating fake accounts.”
O’Keefe released the following statement in response to the tech giant’s blow to the First Amendment:
“I am suing Twitter for defamation because they said I, James O’Keefe, ‘operated fake accounts.’ This is false, this is defamatory, and they will pay. Section 230 may have protected them before, but it will not protect them from me. The complaint will be filed Monday.”
Section 230 protects social media companies from assuming liability associated with user-generated content. Legislators have argued that Section 230 protections should no longer apply to big tech companies that act as publications by suspending conservative users.
In case you haven't figured out how it works by now…@CNN spreads propaganda to elect Democrats
And then @Twitter runs interference to protect CNN.

Before being cut off from the platform that claims to be a “town square,” O’Keefe released incriminating hidden camera footage of CNN Technical Director Charlie Chester:
“I think there’s a COVID fatigue. So, like whenever a new story comes up, they’re [CNN’s] going to latch onto it. They’ve already announced in our office that once the public is — will be open to it — we’re going to start focusing mainly on climate . . . I have a feeling that it’s going to be like, constantly showing videos of decline in ice, and weather warming up, and like the effects it’s having on the economy . . . Be prepared, it’s coming. Climate change is going to be the next COVID thing for CNN . . . Fear sells.”
Chester also acknowledged the network’s role in impacting the outcome of the 2020 presidential election:
“Look what we did, we [CNN] got Trump out. I am 100% going to say it, and I 100% believe that if it wasn’t for CNN, I don’t know that Trump would have got voted out…I came to CNN because I wanted to be a part of that.”
The third part of the Project Veritas “CNN Exposed” series shows the network director admitting that CNN has become a distributor of BLM propaganda, selectively covering violence committed by white suspects:
“I was trying to do some research on the Asian hate, like the people [who] are getting attacked and whatnot. A bunch of black men have been attacking Asians. I’m like ‘What are you doing? Like, we [CNN] are trying to help BLM.’”
O’Keefe is one of many conservative voices to be banished from the supposed “open forum.” Twitter has been quick to give notable conservatives “the boot,” permanently removing Former President Donald Trump’s account in January.
Facebook also engaged in the suppression of information this week. On Thursday, Facebook decided users will be unable to share a recent New York Post article. The piece delves into the $3 million real estate spending spree of self-proclaimed Marxist and Black Lives Matter More™ co-founder Patrisse Khan-Cullors. When the article’s URL is entered into a post or direct message, an error message is received.
Facebook on why it blocked a NY Post article. This all applies to lots of articles on news sites. pic.twitter.com/oEdzX0Hy72

This is not the first time big tech has silenced The Post. In the days leading up to the 2020 election, Twitter and Facebook took action to censor the New York Post, barring the dissemination of an exposé on Hunter Biden’s emails.
