On Friday, Joe Biden managed to insult the Japanese Prime Minister and golfer Hideki Matsuyama. That was when he was on-script. When he went off-script he gave a rambling incoherent rant on gun control in which he condemned “violence used by individuals using weapons.” Whatever the hell that means was never explained but Joe told so many lies that the bullshit detector exploded and nobody noticed his dementia.
Biden was asked if he should reprioritize gun control given the recent spate of mass shootings that the liberal media is ignoring because they don’t fit the narrative:
“I’ve never not prioritized this. No one has worked harder to deal with the violence used by individuals using weapons than I have,” said Biden.
Halfway through that line, strained hard like he was trying to force out a shit or a thought. Either way it stunk.
Nobody has worked harder to deal with the violence used by individuals using weapons than Biden? What does that even mean? Did he ever do something about people using violence while using nunchucks?
As it turns out, Biden had a big lie about his anti violence/anti-weapons claim:
“I’m the only one ever to have passed an assault weapons ban. I’m the only one who ever got a ten-year ban on assault weapons and clips of more than ten bullets,” claimed Biden.
He’s the only one who ever passed an assault weapons ban? Was there a time in which Biden had dictatorial powers to pass legislation by himself? I’m sure Biden believes that to be true but he also thinks unicorns are real so he’s obviously not dealing with a full deck.
Presumably Biden is referring to the Clinton-era assault weapons ban. The Public Safety and Recreational Firearms Use Protection Act or the Federal Assault Weapons Ban of 1994 was authored by California Senator Dianne Feinstein. 216 Reps voted for it, 52 Senators voted for it and it was signed into law by serial rapist Bill Clinton. At least 268 other people passed this bill besides Joe Biden, but he’s the only one who passed it?
And the lies kept flowing:
“This has to end. It’s a national embarrassment, what’s going on. It’s not only these mass shootings that are occurring. Every single day. Every single day there’s a mass shooting in this yanni, in the United States if you count all those who were killed out in the streets of our cities and our rural areas,” said Biden.
Yeah, if you count a bunch of shit that isn’t mass shootings, there are mass shootings everyday in this yanni.
“And one last thing, the folks who own weapons, the folks who own guns, they support universal background checks. The majority of them think we should not be selling assault weapons,” Biden said.
The majority of gun owners support the current background check system we already have and next to none of us support a ban on semi-automatic firearms. Yet another lie.
Biden finished up with this false interpretation of the Constitution:
“Who in God’s name needs a weapon that can hold 100 rounds? or 40 rounds? Or 20 rounds? It’s just wrong” Biden said.
A better question is: What part of the 2nd Amendment says it’s up to Joe Biden to determine what sort of firearms and magazines people are allowed to own? I checked it thoroughly and can find no Biden clause.
