How apropos…
Liz Cheney is now on the clock and with the vote to dislodge the loose cannon congresswoman from her House leadership position set to take place on Wednesday.
Cheney’s ouster despite a furious circling of the wagons to protect one of the swamp’s most vocal protectors has roiled the RINOs whose efforts to retake control of the party from former President Donald J. Trump have failed.
With the verdict on Cheney expected to a thumbs down now that House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy has made it clear that her antics have become too big of a distraction to be tolerated, some GOP members of Congress are speaking up to support her.
One of them is Iowa Senator and former hog castrator Joni Ernst who claims that Cheney’s demotion is “cancel culture,” this despite the fact that her attacks on Trump and his supporters are undermining party unity at a time when Joe Biden and Democrats are ramming through the most extreme governing agenda in the nation’s history.
“I feel it’s OK to go ahead and express what you feel is right to express and, you know, cancel culture is cancel culture no matter how you look at it. Unfortunately, I think there are those that are trying to silence others in the party,” Ernst told reporters on Monday.
Cheney also got support from an unlikely source, former NFL superstar running back and accused murderer O.J. Simpson who took to Twitter to weigh in on politics.

According to Simpson:
“Watching cable news, it’s all about Liz Cheney. Now I gotta admit, I was not a fan of Liz Cheney. Don’t get me wrong, I’m 50-50 on her politics but I didn’t like her, and then I just realized recently, the reason I didn’t like her had to do with her father, probably my least favorite politician who I don’t like, former vice president Dick Cheney”
The Juice continued:
“Then I saw a show the other day and I saw a quote from Voltaire that said that patriotism was the enemy of mankind,” referring to the French philosopher, “thought about that a little bid, somehow I started thinking about the Republican Party.” he said, “and it seemed that truth and honesty seem to be the enemy of many of these Republican politicians and Liz Cheney stands up for the truth.”
O.J. who beat the rap for the grisly 1994 knife murder of his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and waiter Ronald Goldman who had the misfortune of being in the wrong place at the wrong time is in the news for the second time in recent weeks after he criticized the ignorant racist social media influencer/NBA superstar LeBron James for outing a cop who saved the life of a black teenager who was only seconds away from being murdered by another black teenager Ma’Khia Bryant.

When the Democrat talking points and media propaganda have taken root to the point where O.J. Simpson, Mitt Romney, and Joni Ernst are in alignment with Joe Biden and Nancy Pelosi it isn’t the sign of a healthy political system and an exclamation point on why tens of millions of Americans are still standing with Trump.
