Biden Pimps Electric Cars; “There’s No Turning Back”

Joe Biden is determined to impose the radical transformational Green New Deal on America along with its ambitious goals to cut greenhouse gas emissions to zero and a key component will be the elimination of gas-powered vehicles.

The nation’s 46th president took his show on the road on Tuesday when he traveled to Michigan to whip up support for his $2.3 trillion “infrastructure” package that allocates far less money to actual roads, bridges, and waterways than for liberal wish list items like electric cars.

During his visit to a new Ford plant in the Detroit suburb of Dearborn, a Democratic party stronghold in Rep. Rashida Tlaib’s district, Biden promoted the $174 billion within the package that is marked for the changeover to electric vehicles that he claims will revitalize the domestic auto industry.

Biden spoke at Ford’s Rouge Electric Vehicle Center where the all-electric Ford F-150 will be built, using union labor, a vital constituency of the party’s base and one that has been decimated by the globalist policies that have been championed by Biden and his “former” boss Barack Obama.

After introducing himself as “my name is Joe Biden and I’m a car guy,” and giving props to the United Autoworkers (UAW) for backstopping his political career, he said;  “The future of the auto industry is electric, there’s no turning back.” 

“The American jobs plan is a blue collar blueprint to rebuild America,” said Biden referring to the legislation that is currently working its way through Congress that in addition to money for electric cars also includes $213 for “affordable and sustainable” housing, and $100 billion for national broadband (a possible gateway to government control of the internet) and billions to rename highways that have been deemed to be “racist” by far-left Biden’s handlers.

Biden also said that; “The American auto industry is at a crossroads,” he said; The real question is whether we’ll lead or we’ll fall behind in the race to the future, or whether we’ll build these vehicles, and the batteries that go in them, here in the United States, or rely on other countries. … Right now, China is leading in this race, make no bones about it. It’s a fact.” 

While Biden talked of the new green union jobs that the electric conversion would create, he did not address the devastation that would be incurred by the domestic fossil fuels industry, a critical part of the overall economy that he declared war on when he canceled the Keystone XL Pipeline as one of his first acts in office after denying that he would during the campaign.

Biden also engaged in a bit of public relations that was gobbled up by the adoring media when he put on his trademark sunglasses and took an electric vehicle for a spin, joking with a reporter that he’d like to run her over after she asked a question about Israel.

She wasn’t the only one wanting to ask him about the violence that has erupted in the Middle East due to his incoherent and feckless foreign policy.

Being as it is Dearborn, home to the largest Muslim population in the United States and is the district of Rep. Tlaib who has been parroting anti-Israeli terrorist talking points, a crowd gathered outside of the plant.

Some have warned that Biden’s embrace of the Green New Deal and its electric cars is a ticket to economic catastrophe that will do little to achieve the net-zero emissions goals because all of those batteries will still need electric power produced by coal-burning plants to charge them but the lunatics are clearly running the asylum now.

Biden’s policies are already a disaster both domestic and foreign and he’s only getting warmed up.
