In your masks and on your knees slaves…
Liberals rejoiced when Los Angeles County announced that it was reinstating its indoor mask mandates amidst growing hysteria over the Delta variant that has breathed new life into the dreams of lasting totalitarianism and permanent party for Democrats.
Southern Californians had barely emerged from the crushing COVID restrictions imposed by Governor Gavin Newsom, the most draconian in the entire nation, and were just beginning to revert to some sense of normalcy when the latest decree from public health officials hit like a sucker punch to the gut, forcing residents to mask-up with no end in sight.
With Democrat-controlled Las Vegas immediately joining in on the re-masking, another blow to a reeling tourism industry that has hit one of nation’s top vacation destinations particularly hard, and the mask fetishists who have been politically empowered by the virus were giddy that the dominos would fall and mask mandated would be reimposed nationwide.
However, a major obstacle has appeared in the most unusual of places when New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio was hesitant to issue his own new mask decree, a devastating blow that could stall momentum in the crucial weeks leading up to the new school year with teacher’s unions clamoring for children to be forcibly masked.
On Monday, Hizzoner dashed the hopes of authoritarians when he declined to follow Los Angeles, stating that masks are not the answer to controlling the spread of the variant and urging New Yorkers to get vaccinated.

During a streaming press conference, Mayor de Blasio remarked; “Masks have value, unquestionably, but masks are not going at the root of the problem. Vaccination is,” he said. “So we do not intend a mask mandate. We do intend to double down on vaccination.”
While he didn’t rule out a future resumption of the mask orders, de Blasio deserves some credit for not knuckling under to the fearmongers and may be reluctant to further harm bars and restaurants in the Big Apple, especially during Restaurant Week which he promoted via Twitter.

However, de Blasio has already made it clear that he will command that New York’s youngest citizens will be subjected to masking when they return to classrooms, a cruel gesture that will likely have many parents fuming but he doesn’t have to worry about political fallout since he will soon be leaving City Hall.

There is much chatter from the liberal COVID cult who were infuriated over the CDC’s guidance relaxing indoor masking that was issued last month that at least temporarily stripped them of their aura of moral superiority and perverse satisfaction of exacting punishment against Trump supporters.
Dr. Anthony S. Fauci, the high priest of the nation’s newest religion is back on television and once again, pushing for masks, a possible precursor for another revised guidance from the thoroughly politicized CDC.
"If you live in an area where you have a high dynamic of infection, and that's usually in an area where there is a low level of vaccination…you may want to go the extra mile and get the extra degree of protection," says Dr. Fauci on if those fully vaccinated should wear a mask. pic.twitter.com/iT5RA3LTqP

To the political left and the authoritarian Democrats who were able to seize dictatorial powers under the pretense of a public health emergency, the masks have become such a potent political talisman that there is no way that they are ever going to allow a return to normalcy.
