The liberal media is using the Texas “Heartbeat” law that bans abortions after 6 weeks to distract from Joe Biden’s failures and nobody is more of a diversion than Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. CNN rolled out the dimwit Rep. to accuse Texas Governor Greg Abbot of “ignorance” for not understanding the biology of “menstruating persons.” According to biology expert AOC, it’s not women who can get pregnant, but people who menstruate.
Yesterday a reporter asked Texas Governor Greg Abbott why the new abortion law didn’t have an exception for victims of rape and incest. He explained that victims of rape and incest can get abortions up until 6 weeks, just like everyone else. Abbott then added that the state was working tirelessly to get rapists off the street.
This non-controversial anger set liberals off, not because of the content but because it came from a white man. AOC went on CNN to express her outrage:
“Well, I find Governor Abbott’s comments disgusting and I think there’s twofold. One, I don’t know if he’s familiar with a menstruating person’s body, in fact I do know that he’s not familiar with a wo, uh uh, a female or a menstruating person’s body,” started Ocasio-Cortez.
Woman. The word she’s looking for is “woman” because those are the people who can get pregnant. Men don’t menstruate. Women do. Even if a woman is pretending to be a man, she’s still biologically a woman.
“You don’t have six weeks. Is that quote unquote six weeks, and I’m sorry we have to break it down on, you know break down biology 101 on national television, in case no one has informed him in our life, in his life, six weeks pregnant means two weeks late for your period. And two weeks late for your period, for any person, any person with a menstrual cycle can happen if you’re stressed, your diet changes, or for really no reason at all,” Ocasio-Cortez said.
That is a stunning break down of biology 101. Apparently menstruating people can only get pregnant on the first day after their cycle. If six weeks pregnant means two weeks late for their period, that means these people who aren’t necessarily women, can only get knocked up on the first day after their periods.
Here’s a thought: if you happen to be a sexually active menstruating person and you miss your period, because you went vegan or whatever, take a pregnancy test. Especially if that menstruating person has no intention of bringing a child into this world.
From there, AOC accused Republicans of the Texas State Legislature of passing the abortion bill because they are the ones raping and impregnating menstruating persons:
“There are many people in power, as we know from the #MeToo movement, that commit sexual assault, that help their friends cover up these crimes and some of them even serve in the same state legislatures that are voting on these anti, uh you know, these anti-choice bills,” said Ocasio-Cortez.
The last time I checked, it was only democrats and democratic party supporters who were accused or convicted of sexual assault by the #MeToo movement and absolutely none of the rapists were GOP members of the Texas State Legislature.
After this amazing display of stupidity, AOC finished up with this opinion of Gregg Abbott’s statement:
“It’s awful and he speaks from such a place of deep ignorance that, it’s not just ignorance, it’s ignorance that’s hurting people across this country,” Ocasio-Cortez said.
In addition to not knowing what a woman is and having no knowledge of basic female biology, AOC is blissfully ignorant of ignorance. For her benefit, because I know she’s a rabid Def-Con News reader, ignorance is a lack of knowledge and information. You know, that thing she just displayed on CNN.
