Even liberal observers don’t think Kyle Rittenhouse will be convicted for the self-defense shootings during the Kenosha riots, but lefties are pinning their hopes that 3 white guys will be found guilty for killing black guy Ahmaud Arbery. I hate to break it to them (I don’t) but it’s also a case of self-defense and they’re going walk too.
Travis McMichael, his father Greg McMichael, and their neighbor William “Roddie” Bryan are on trail for for murder, aggravated assault and false imprisonment in the 2020 shooting death of Ahmaud Arbery. Beside the fact that the accused are white and the dead guy is black, there has been no evidence that this shooting was racially-motivated, but the liberal media and leftists everywhere have made it that way.
The basic facts of the case are that there was series of burglaries in the neighborhood and Arbery was captured on surveillance video 5 times rummaging around a house under construction in the area. One day, the McMichaels and Bryan saw Arbery running through the neighborhood and recognized him from the video. They pursued him to make a citizen’s arrest but he attacked them and they had no choice but to shoot.
But don’t just take my word for it, there’s video of the shooting:
Travis MCMichael was behind the wheel of the pick-up truck, his dad Greg was in the bed. Both of them were armed with shotguns. If I’m not mistaken, Bryan was in the car behind, recording the incident.
As you, and any jury, can clearly see, when Travis got out of the truck, Arbery immediately attacked him. Arbery threw several punches before gunshots rung out. The McMichaels didn’t instigate the violence, they reacted to it and that’s a big thing.
The white men had a reason belief that Arbery was behind the neighborhood burglaries and every right to make a citizen’s arrest. Unfortunately, Arbery went on the offensive and shit went south.
An important thing to remember is that when you have a gun, if someone attacks you, they could take it from you and kill you. Travis would have been stupid to let Arbery take the gun away from him. Actually, he’d be dead. The McMicaels also had a right to defend their lives.
If the white men had been attempting to rob Arbery and they killed him while he resisted, that would be murder. Defending their lives while attempting to make a citizen’s arrest isn’t murder even in bullshit liberal places like California and New York. This happened in Georgia where self-defense is a respected right.
This video is literally the only piece of evidence the defense needs to get a not guilty verdict.
This shooting took place during the George Floyd outrage era and prosecutors felt pressure to deliver racial justice even when they knew it wasn’t there. Things were compounded by the liberal media who turned this into a modern day lynching.
Much like the Kyle Rittenhouse case, the fake news industry has been dishonest in their reporting, getting leftists losers’ hopes up for satisfying convictions. The facts of both of these cases are much different than what is being reported and when there are acquittals, the shit is going to hit the fan it’s entirely the corrupt media’s fault.
