Reps Ted Lieu and Eric Swalwell are the 2 dumbest guys in Congress and they apparently share a brain. Recently the teamed up to accuse Republican Paul Gosar of threatening to assassinate Biden and AOC by sharing a silly meme. Now they are back to tag-team the worst take on border security. The two democrats believe that drug seizures by the Border Patrol means Biden is doing a good job of securing our border.
Head of the Republican National Committee, Ronna McDaniel, recently sent out this tweet. Little did she know it would pop the cap off of democratic party stupidity:
899 lbs of fentanyl and 15,631 lbs of methamphetamine were seized at the southern border in October alone.
That much fentanyl is the equivalent of 204 MILLION lethal doses.

The obvious point of McDaniel’s tweet is that a tremendous amount of illegal drugs comes across our Southern border and we need more resources to stop it. The thing is, when you spend all day with your head up your ass, the only thing that’s obvious is that shit stinks.
Here’s Ted Lieu claiming that McDaniel’s tweet proves Joe Biden is doing a kick-ass job on border security:
The operative word here is “seized.”

Lieu was going for and failing to achieve sarcasm at the end there but his partner in stupidity, Swalwell, is far less witty:

What makes Swalwell particularly hilarious is that he always thinks he’s landed a sick burn when he’s really just landed on his face.
What these two dolts can’t seem to understand is that drug seizures don’t in any way signify a secure border. It means there’s a shit-load of smuggling going and points to the need for a more secure border.
Of course, Lieu and Swalwell would have to be aware of what is going on to be able to understand that. They should take a look at this from CNN:

From May 2020 through April 2021, more than 100,000 people died from drug overdoses in the US, according to provisional data released Wednesday by the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
How’d all those Americans die from fentanyl overdoses when, according to Lieu and Swalwell, Joe Biden has the border locked down tighter than a gnat’s asshole?
Fentanyl isn’t something you can get prescribed to you by pretending you have a sore back. It’s for extreme cases like after major surgery. The way people get ahold of it is buying off the street. It’s made in China and smuggled into the U.S. across the border.
If the Border Patrol seized small amounts of fentanyl and hardly any Americans were overdosing on it, that would be a better indicator of a secure border. Massive seizures and mass overdoses means a porous border.
Also, drug seizures don’t erase that fact that Biden has let hundreds of thousands of illegal aliens in since stealing the White House. And really, the number of illegal border crossings is the true measure of border security.
