Whoopi Goldberg Says Black People’s Voting Rights Are ‘Where We Were Under The Emancipation Proclamation’

Democrats have abandoned Joe Biden’s Tear Down Worse agenda in favor of their federal take-over of elections garbage. Chuck Schumer was on The View pushing the deceptively named Voting Rights Act and Whoopi Goldberg was more than willing to help push his lies. According to the not-too-smart cohost, black people’s voting rights are where they were under the Emancipation Proclamation, whatever the hell that means.

Whoopi Goldberg is really one of the dumbest people on TV and she’s doing her best to remind us of that fact daily:

“You vowed to call a vote on major voting rights legislation in time for Martin Luther King Day next week. I just want – I want to ask you this because it’s irritating me to the nth degree. Why we still talking about my right as an American to vote? I still feel like suddenly Black people still are where we were under the Emancipation Proclamation. What is happening? Why are we still fighting this this way? What’s – what’s going to change?” Goldberg asked.

If you think that’s bad, check Chuckles the Clown’s answer:

“You’re 100% right and it’s not just staying the same, it’s going to get worse,” said Schumer.

So according to Whoopi, black people are still enslaved and can’t vote and according to Chuck it’s actually worse than that. Liberals have a lot of dumb takes, but this one may be the dumbest of all and it’s certainly not based on anything remotely true.

The Emancipation Proclamation was an executive order issued by Abraham Lincoln during the Civil War that freed the slaves in the Confederate states. It didn’t actually free the slaves, they had to escape to the North for freedom, and it had nothing to do with voting rights.

Under Whoopi Goldberg’s claim, black people in America today have the same voting rights as enslaved blacks during the Civil War, which is no voting rights at all. And again, Chuck agrees with this ridiculous lie 100%.

Did Whoopi vote for Joe Biden in the 2020 presidential election? If so, her voting rights as a black person are completely intact.

This is part of the bigger lie that democrats are trying to sell that certain red states like Georgia and Texas have passed laws that suppress minority voting rights. This is of course not true, both of those states expanded voting access and voting days.

What they’re getting at is the false claim that voter ID laws are somehow racist. How can a rule or law that applies to everyone equally be racially unequal? The answer is that democrats are guilty of the racism of low expectations. They don’t believe black people are competent enough to vote the way everyone else in the country does.

Democrats, BTW, hate voter ID laws because they make stealing an election so much harder. The last thing they want is election integrity so they they accuse security measures that apply to all races as being racist.

The one thing missing from this democratic party lie is an example of any eligible person who was unable to cast a vote in an election. They keep telling us that Republicans are suppressing black people’s votes but they’ve never produced one single black person who couldn’t vote because of any red state election law. If this is such a big problem, you’d think they could come up with at least one suppressed black person.
