A Muslim extremist from the UK took hostages at a Texas synagogue using an illegally purchased firearm. According to Joe Biden, the problem isn’t Islamic extremism or his shitty immigration policies but rather a lack of gun control.
British national, Malik Faisal Akram, took hostages at the Congregation Beth Israel synagogue in Colleyville, Texas on Saturday. He was demanding the release Aafia Siddiqui, a Pakistani woman who is serving an 86-year prison sentence in Texas for trying to kill American soldiers in Afghanistan. Eventually, law enforcement rescued the hostages safely and killed Akram in the process.
Apparently Akram, who was not eligible to purchase or possess a firearm legally in the U.S. bought a gun off the street. In a rare instance of Biden taking questions from the press, he was asked how Akram could have possibly gotten the gun he used in the attack:
“Well, allegedly, I don’t have all the facts, norda the attorney general, but allegedly the assertion was he got the weapons on the street. He purchased them when he landed,” said Biden.
Then a reporter served Biden up a meatball by essentially asking if the Texas synagogue attack was because of the availability of guns in the U.S.
“It does but it also doesn’t. With the guns are we should be, the idea of background checks are critical but you can’t stop something like this if someone on the street buying something from someone else on the street,” Biden said.
Wow, it’s almost like Biden just realized that gun control doesn’t do anything to stop criminals from committing crimes. I say almost because he kept talking and the answer got decidedly worse.
“Except that there’s so many guns that have been sold as of late, it’s just ridiculous and it’s because the failure us to focus as hard as we should on and a consistent we should on purchases, gun sales, ghost guns, and a whole range of things,” Biden said.
So in answer to the question of whether a lack of gun control is to blame for the Texas synagogue attack, Biden says gun control wouldn’t have stopped it, but not having enough gun control caused it.
Speaking of background checks, Malik Faisal Akram was a mentally unstable British citizen with a criminal record and yet he was granted a visa to travel here. The NY Post reports:
The brother of the UK man who took a rabbi and three congregants hostage at a Texas synagogue before being shot dead questioned how he was able to travel to the US – and said his sibling “was suffering from mental health issues.”
The hostage-taker’s brother Gulbar demanded more information about how he “was allowed to get a visa and acquire a gun,”…
“He’s known to police. Got a criminal record,” he told Sky News.
Putting this altogether, Biden says we need more background checks to stop people from illegally acquiring firearms but less background checks for Islamic extremists entering the country.
Because he is literally brain dead, Biden doesn’t realize the he proved gun control doesn’t work and that his immigration policies are garbage.
