In a speech announcing his declaration of war on Ukraine, Russian president Vladimir Putin threatened to use nuclear weapons on any Western nation that tries to stop him. Joe Biden was asked about this threat and shrugged his shoulders claiming he didn’t know anything about it.
In announcing his invasion of Ukraine, Putin reminded everyone that Russia “remains one of the most powerful nuclear states” with “a certain advantage in several cutting-edge weapons.”
Then issued this warning:
“Whoever tries to interfere with us, and even more so to create threats to our country, to our people, should know that Russia’s response will be immediate and will lead you to such consequences as you have never experienced in your history. We are ready for any development of events. All necessary decisions in this regard have been made. I hope that I will be heard,” said Putin.
It doesn’t take a foreign policy expert to see that Putin is telling NATO to mind its own business as he slaughters the Ukrainian people and if they don’t, KABOOM!
Speaking of someone who is not a foreign policy expert, here’s a fun exchange from Joe Biden’s speech announcing new mild sanctions on Russia:
“The statement that [Putin] gave last night, the threat that he gave the West will ‘face consequences greater than any you have faced in history.’ Is he threatening a nuclear strike?” asked a reporter.
“I have no idea what he’s threatening, I know what he has done,” replied Biden.
That must be some of that “lead from behind” stuff he picked up from Barack Obama.
Later in the press conference, Biden bragged that he’s “read most everything [Putin] has written and that he “heard the speech he made.” Biden claims to be well-versed in Putinology and yet has no idea if Putin is threatening nuclear war when Putin directly threatened the West with nuclear strikes in a speech Biden heard.
Making it even more pathetic that Biden doesn’t know that Putin is threatening nuclear war, just 2 weeks ago the Russian president threatened NATO with a nuclear war:
“Do you understand it or not, that if Ukraine joins NATO and attempts to bring Crimea back by military means, the European countries will be automatically pulled into a war conflict with Russia Of course the [military] potential of NATO and Russia are incomparable. We understand it. But we also understand that Russia is one of the leading nuclear states, and by some modern components it even outperforms many. There will be no winners. And you will be pulled into this conflict against your will,” said Putin.
Seriously, who is in charge? Biden has no f*cking idea what Putin is up to even though he keeps laying out in clear language?
I know Joe Biden is completely illegitimate, but he’s supposed to be the President of the United States and project strength and authority. Instead he’s standing in front of the world with his thumb up his ass, claiming he doesn’t really know hat’s going on. While that’s a refreshing bit of honesty from Joe who is usually so full of shit, it makes the U.S. look weak and emboldens our enemies.
