Two Years Ago Yesterday Joe Biden Promised to End the US Oil Industry—Joe Kept That Promise and Today Gas Is $4.32 a Gallon

Two years ago yesterday Joe-Joe Biden promised to end the oil industry in America.

This from thegatewaypundit.com.

“No more subsidies for fossil fuel industry. No more drilling on federal lands. No more drilling, including offshore. No ability for the oil industry to continue to drill, period, ends.”

Gas is now $4.32 a gallon in the US.

Today we have the highest gas prices in history thanks to the suicidal lunatics in the democrat-communist party.

Rather than opening up the U.S. energy sector, Joe-Joe’s handlers are reaching out to Venezuela, Iran, and OPEC to resolve our energy needs.

Americans must remember to take democrat-communists at face value for their crazy, asinine threats and promises.

Ideas that many of us passed off as being too stupid to be taken seriously continue to come back and bite us in the ass.

Simply put, this is merely just one more of The Regime’s avenues to diminish and destroy the United States.

So, don’t be fooled that Russian tanks rolling across the Ukrainian countryside had anything to do with the price of petroleum products in America—other than enabling the democrat-communists to formulate a hollow excuse.

The White House had already decided on its energy policy.

The following from waynedupree.com

Remember the following:

During the first day of his unconstitutional occupation, Joe-Joe Biden issued an executive order canceling building permits for the Keystone XL pipeline. He also stated that the resolution was intended “to make it official that climate change will be at the forefront of our national security and foreign policy.”

Joe-Joe also signed a series of executive orders directing all levels of government to prioritize combating climate change and prohibiting the issuance of any new oil and natural gas leases on federally owned property.

Note: A land conflict in Europe has now called into doubt any wisdom of restricting domestic energy production in the United States—the U.S. banned Russian oil imports and has become forced to look elsewhere for fresh sources of supplies.

Biden’s handlers are well aware of this, and they sent Biden on the defensive on Tuesday, attempting to defuse criticism that has been heightened by rising gas prices.

He accused Russia of instigating the conflict. And his next accusation was that American oil companies were ignoring a global energy crisis by remaining on the sidelines.

“At the moment, they have 9000 drilling permits.” Biden informed reporters that they may be drilling right now, or that they could have been drilling yesterday, last week, or last year.

“At the moment, they are not being used for production.” “It is entirely up to them.”

In addition, he stated that any criticism of his actions was out of bounds since “it is just not true that my administration or policies are causing a slowdown in domestic oil and gas output.”

As evidence, Biden cited the fact that producers “pumped more oil” during his first year in office than they did during “my predecessor’s first year” as justification.

All of these arguments have previously been heard by the oil and gas lobby in Washington.

The talking points are well-worn by now, and in recent weeks, White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki has even begun to deflect questions to the lobby of the White House itself. A reporter inquired as to whether the White House could do anything to increase American manufacturing.

Having previously chastised private businesses for failing to make the most of their drilling leases on public lands, Psaki encouraged the public to raise the inquiry. “I’d encourage you to ask them that question,” Psaki answered.

The response from that lobby was that either the White House does not understand how drilling works, or, worse, that they are intentionally misleading the public.

Mike Sommers, the president and chief executive officer of the American Petroleum Institute, believes this is the case.

Sommers told Bloomberg News on Monday that his sector is making the most of leased property now more than at any other time in the past, and that they would continue to increase production in order to satisfy growing demand.

“There is a basic misunderstanding on the part of the government as to how the process truly works,” Sommers said in response to the White House’s claim that the industry has been underutilizing resources. Because a lease “requires a significant amount of development to take place between the leasing and finally granting the permit for that land to be productive,” he explained, it takes longer than the administration is admitting.

According to Sommers, the administration is “intentionally misrepresenting the facts here in order to advance their own interests.”

So, there you have it Def-Con News readers—our nation is being led by a ship of fools.

A wise leader, at this point in time, would be involved in two very critical activities: preparing the nation for war and undertaking every opportunity of diplomacy to preclude war.

We know the suicidal handler(s) behind Joe-Joe Biden’s screen who are pulling his strings are doing neither. Contrarily, they are steering the ship full steam ahead into dangerous waters.

Where does this leave We the People?

Exactly. We are making ready for the worst, hoping and praying for something better, and awaiting sound leadership to lift us out of this destructive democrat-communist nightmare.
