A few years ago the liberal complaint was that the Oscars were too white. The Academy “fixed” this by making the ceremony almost exclusively people of color but the problem is when you get a group of black people together, there will be violence. At last night’s Academy Awards, Will Smith smacked the shit of of Chris Rock.
Rock was presenting an award last night and, as a comedian, told a few jokes. One of those involved Will Smith’s annoying untalented wife Jada.
Jada Pinket Smith apparently suffers from the same hair loss condition as Squad member Ayanna Pressley and has a baldish head. Rock joked that he couldn’t wait to see her in “G.I. Jane 2.”
Smith began to laugh but then as his slow brain began to process it, became enraged.
Most of this was bleeped out on American TV, but the Japanese got the full show:

Smith approached Rock on stage and slapped him hard across the face.
“Oh wow. Wow,” said a stunned Rock. “Will Smith just smacked the shit out of me.”
Smith returned to his seat.
“Keep my wife’s name out yo f*cking mouth,” yelled Smith.
“Wow, dude. It was a G.I.Jane joke,” replied Rock.
“Keep my wife’s name out yo f*cking mouth,” Smith yelled louder.
“I’m going to, okay?”Rock replied.
Everybody in the hall was stunned, but give Chris rock some credit for easing the the tension.
“That was the greatest night in the history of television,” joked Rock.
Smith went on to win the Oscar for best actor and gave a tearful apology to everyone but Chris Rock.

Will Smith has the impulse control and emotional maturity of a 2-year-old but it’s Trump’s fault Chris Rock got slapped.
I’m going to give Chris Rock some more credit here because the LAPD reported that he declined to press charges against Will Smith. Rock could have had Smith thrown in jail and sued the shit out of him but instead, turned the other cheek. I do think Rock will end up with some great material for his stand-up act, so maybe that’s why he’s letting it go.
Due to the potential for violence, the Academy may want to consider not filling the theater with black people next year. Maybe they could just nominate the most worthy performers and admit that the Affirmative Action Oscars were a failure.
