With news that Elon Musk bought Twitter to turn the leftist platform into a bastion of free speech, I did an experiment yesterday testing the limits. I posted something that was 100% true and my account was suspended. I realize Elon just bought the thing and hasn’t had time to fix it, but this should at least give him some ideas on how to improve the service.
On Twitter, if you are a leftist you can threaten anyone but they really crack down if you mention the birth-name of a transgender weirdo. I tweeted the real names of traitor Chelsea Manning and Biden administration freak Rachel Levine:
And then I got this e-mail from Twitter:
Hateful conduct? Promoting violence?
Chelsea Manning’s real name is Bradly and Rachel Levine’s real name is Richard. They are dudes pretending to be women but that doesn’t change the fact that they were born men and still are men. It’s a lie to claim these two gender benders are actual women because they are not. My tweet is 100% factual including the fact that Bradly Manning is a traitor since he was convicted of espionage.
My tweet wasn’t even an opinion up for interpretation, it was true.
According to Twitter, the truth is hateful and violent. This is along the lines of saying that the statement “water is wet” promotes violence against the Pacific Ocean.
This is definitely one area of concern for Elon Musk if he wants to transform the platform into a free speech zone. If people are suspended or even banned for making factual statements, Twitter does not promote free speech or even tolerate it.
Def-Con News is in Twitter jail and they’re telling me that I have to delete this offending but true tweet to restore the account. I will do this because I made my point and I actually want to use the platform once Elon Musk fixes this bullshit.
All of this helps explain the left’s collective freak-out over Elon Musk buying Twitter. He’s going to destroy their safe space. Right now, the platform protects liberal nonsense and hatred while suppressing the truth that makes them uncomfortable.
If free speech is moderated, it ain’t free speech.
I realize that there are some nasty trolls out there who have been banned from commenting on Def-Con News who are going to say I’m a hypocrite but this website isn’t a public forum. In fact, it’s an asshole-free zone. If you think your 1st Amendment rights have been violated because you can no longer attack our writers and regular readers, tough shit.
