Elon Musk Just Bought Twitter: Let’s See How Long Before Free Speech Is Allowed

Elon Musk officially bought Twitter today, supposedly to make the leftist platform a conduit of free speech. I don’t doubt he will eventually achieve this but right now it’s still a cesspool of censorship. Just for fun, I thought I’d test the waters and see if I can get Def-Con News banned.

Here’s some potentially good news for fans of the 1st Amendment from Fox News:

Twitter shares popped over 5% on Monday after the company’s board unanimously accepted Tesla CEO Elon Musk’s $44 billion offer to take the social media giant private.

Musk, a self-described “free-speech absolutist,” has been critical of the platform and its chief executive Parag Agrawal’s approach to free speech.

“Free speech is the bedrock of a functioning democracy, and Twitter is the digital town square where matters vital to the future of humanity are debated,” Musk said in a statement. “I also want to make Twitter better than ever by enhancing the product with new features, making the algorithms open source to increase trust, defeating the spam bots, and authenticating all humans. Twitter has tremendous potential – I look forward to working with the company and the community of users to unlock it.”

Sounds great. Let’s help Musk identify some problem areas within his new acquisition. Here are some real tweets from Def-Con News. First, Twitter doesn’t allow you to use a transgender person’s birth name. It’s called “dead naming” and strictly forbidden.

You also aren’t allowed to say that men wearing dresses aren’t real women, so let’s give that a try:

The democrats’ response to coal miners and pipeline workers being put out of work by democrat policies was “learn to code.” When several lefty news sources went out of business, dozens of people were banned for telling them to learn to code, so let’s see if that’s still a thing:

It is strictly forbidden to question the results of an election. Actually it’s only forbidden to question the results of the 2020 election. It’s perfectly fine for democrats to question elections won by Republicans:

You will get banned if you don’t buy into the the global warming cult’s bullshit, so we’ll throw this out there too:

Twitter also doesn’t allow threats unless they are directed against conservatives. I’m not an asshole so I’m not going to threaten any lefties but I will insult one who will perceive it as a threat:

Let’s see if Def-Con News gets suspended or even nuked for these tweets that violate Twitter’s bullshit rules. I’ll keep you updated.
