Alec Baldwin is famous for 2 things: 1) being an insufferable asshole and 2) accidentally shooting a woman to death. Maybe he’s the last guy to talk about gun control but that’s where the insufferable asshole thing comes in. Hollywood’s deadliest douche is demanding gun control now.
On Monday night in North Charleston, South Carolina, there was a shooting in a parking lot near a little league game. Dozens of shots were fired but nobody, including the kids playing baseball, was hurt.
Alec Baldwin posted a video of the gunshots going off during the game and tried to make it all about him:

“The very childhoods of our kids interrupted by this insanity. We regulate many things in this country in the interest of public health and safety. Drugs, cars, professional licenses, etc. We need gun control reform. Now,” wrote Baldwin.
The kids in this video are very unlike Alec Baldwin’s privileged children. It’s insanity that he thinks these kids are anything like his rich elite offspring.
Yes, we do regulate things like drugs and cars in this country but there is no Constitutional right protecting them. There is however one that guarantees that our right to gun ownership shall not be infringed. Baldwin would know this if he ever took his head out of his ass.
His last line is actually a bit confused. He says “we need gun control reform now” but what he probably meant to says is “we need gun reform now.” Gun control is set of laws and policies that regulates guns and presumably reforming gun control would be to get rid of those restrictions. Gun reform however would be more gun control.
Maybe after plugging that crew member on his movie set he’s developed a love for firearms and wants to get rid of gun control. No, that can’t be it. He’s probably just a self-righteous f*ckhead who doesn’t know what words mean.
The video Baldwin posted was from Occupy Democrats and reads: “This is what the NRA has done to America,” which is the actual dumbest thing about this. The NRA advocates for the legal and safe use of firearms. I have no idea what that shooting was about, but it didn’t involve safe or legal uses of guns. This is like blaming the Automotive Service Association for that black supremacist who drove his SUV through a Christmas parade in Waukesha, Wisconsin, killing 5 and injuring 49.
Considering there were 58 shots fired and nobody was hit, I’d say the shooting was probably an asshole or assholes firing into the air to f*ck with people because they thought it would be funny. Again, this is not a safe or legal use of firearms.
It’s unclear what kind “gun control reform” Baldwin is demanding here but his role is stoking faux outrage not solutions. If he really wants to do something to make people safer, he could start checking to see if his movie gun is loaded before pointing at crew members and pulling the trigger. Liberals always say “if it saves just one life” gun control is worth it and if Baldwin practiced basic gun safety there would be one more person alive right now.
