Liberals play fast and loose with the term “insurrection” but even they have to agree that calling for the armed overthrow of one of the 3 branches of the federal government counts as insurrection. Or maybe not. Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot has commanded the LGBT community to take up arms against the Supreme Court and no one on the left seems to have a problem with that.
We haven’t seen a liberal meltdown like the one resulting from the news that Roe v. Wade, the SCOTUS decision that legalized abortion, is about to be overturned since Donald Trump won a free and fair election. One of the major freak-outs on the left is their fear-mongering that suddenly all rights are about to be abolished.
With that in mind, here’s the country’s ugliest Mayor calling for the overthrow of the government:

She could have used the term “call to action” but she went with “call to arms” instead. This is the mayor of a major metropolitan city calling for gay people to take up arms and murder Supreme Court Justices.
The funny thing is, Lightfoot is the Mayor of Chicago, one of the most anti-gun places in the country. With all of the firearms restrictions in the Windy City, where are the LBGT commandos supposed to get their weapons? I guess they’ll have to pick them up some place that respects the Constitution, which is another quirk, seeing as they want to kill the gatekeepers of our Constitutional rights.
Another peculiar thing going on here is that Chicago is the murder capital of the United States and their Mayor is telling people to get guns and murder SCOTUS Justices. It’s not great optics for the leader of a violent city to be promoting violence in this way.
The dumbest thing about this is, Lightfoot’s call for insurrection is based on nothing. The Supreme Court isn’t coming for anything, let alone the rights of LGBT people, who BTW, have the same rights as everyone else. Is there a pending SCOTUS case that threatens to undo anyone’s rights? Is there a case like that in the appeals court system? Nope. She’s as full of shit as she is unattractive.
Finally, the insane thing here is that Lori Lightfoot is threatening to murder and overthrow a branch of the federal government and Twitter hasn’t suspended her account or even put a warning on her tweet. You may remember that Def-Con News was suspended from Twitter for tweeting the birth names of 2 prominent transgender people. Twitter is saying that things that are true are violence but calling for actual violence is acceptable. Well, as long as it’s a liberal calling for it.
That double-standard extends to the liberal media who have no problem with Lightfoot’s demand for violence against the Supreme Court. When Trump called them “fake news” for reporting fake news, they said he was endangering journalists and destroying democracy. When Lightfoot tells gay people to kill Justices, the liberal media writes it off as an acceptable form of protest.
