Democrats told us that Donald Trump was a dictator who didn’t respect our democratic institutions. Of course he never did anything to warrant that tag but democrats are known bullshitters. Speaking of which, democrat Mondaire Jones is threatening to dismantle Congress and the Supreme Court in an effort to pass gun control. I’m told that democrats don’t consider this to be a threat to our democratic institutions.
The House Judiciary Committee was “debating” the democrats’ latest unconstitutional gun control effort called the “Protecting Our Kids Act.” Far from protecting anyone but criminals, the bill would ban “assault weapons,” “assault magazines” and raise the age to purchase a firearm to 25.
NY Rep. Mondaire Jones led his party’s stance with this tyrannical outburst:

“Enough of your thoughts and prayers. You will not stop us from advancing the Protecting Our Kids Act today. If the filibuster obstructs us, we will abolish it. If the Supreme Court objects, we will expand it. And we will not rest until we have taken weapons of war out of circulation and our communities each and every day,” said Jones.
So it’s either Congress tears up the Constitution or democrats are going to destroy our system of government and install themselves as the supreme ruling party? Gee, that sounds a bit like a dictatorship, doesn’t it? Ironically, the 2nd Amendment was written to stop just such a thing from happening.
It’s also a Catch-22. The democrats want to disarm the people but can’t because of the Constitution and can’t get rid of the Constitution because the people are armed.
And that’s the thing here, Jones is completely full of shit if he thinks his threats carry any weight. How is a House Rep. whose district has just been eliminated, going to make the Senate trash the filibuster? Or for that matter, how is he planning on packing the Supreme Court, which is another function of the Senate?
Maybe the most delusional thing here is Jones’ threat to ban and confiscate “weapons of war.” There’s more than 20 Million AR-15s alone and probably millions more AKs and other various “weapons of mass destruction” in the hands of law-abiding Americans.
Is Jones going to go door-to-door and demand these legally-owned firearms be surrendered? He said he won’t rest until they’ve all been confiscated but that’s a lie because after the first door, he will be laid to rest. It’s also untrue that he’d be going door-to-door since he’d get killed after the first door and never make it to a second.
This outburst from Jones does show that he’s aware of the unconstitutionality of the democrats’ gun control agenda if he says they’ll “fix” the Supreme Court to achieve it.
It’s also more proof that democrats cannot win without cheating. They want to do something but the structure of our system of government prevents it so they want to blow the whole thing up. Again, these were the same assclowns who said Trump was a dictator who was trying to destroy democracy.
