The so-called “assault” weapons ban that passed the House Friday had the help of two Republican traitors. But five democrats stepped away from the madness and voted NO on this abomination.

The fictionally named “Assault Weapons Ban of 2022” passed by a vote of 217 for to 213 against, with only one Republican not voting.
Five Democrats decided not to support the bill.
Reps. Henry Cuellar and Vicente Gonzalez of Texas were notably among those, along with Rep. Jared Golden of Maine, Rep. Kurt Schrader of Oregon, and Rep. Ron Kind out of Wisconsin.
The two “Republicans” who voted YES on the narrow vote were Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick of Pennsylvania and Rep. Chris Jacobs of New York.
If they HAD voted NO it would have been 215 to 215. That would have killed it. So, they own it.
