What are you rebelling against? What do you got? That used to be the punk rock credo: F*ck authority, f*ck the system, and f*ck you! The Dropkick Murphys however think it’s really punk to defend Joe Biden’s administration, the most corrupt and repressive regime this country has ever seen.
In the Golden age of punk, the early 1980s, much of the political music was against Ronald Reagan, who was the president at the time: “Reaganomics” by D.R.I., “F*cked Up Ronnie” by D.O.A., etc… Over in England it was all anti-Margaret Thatcher like The Exploited’s “Let’s Start a War (Said Maggie One Day).”
But it wasn’t just rebelling agents conservative leaders, it was any leaders. The Dead Kennedys’ “California über alles” was a song against then-governor Jerry Brown, a liberal democrat. The point being that punk rock has always been anti-establishment.
That is until Boston “punk” band Dropkick Murphys decided it was way-cool to suck up to the establishment. Here’s singer Ken Casey bouncing Joe Biden’s old man balls off of his chin:
Casey started his rant off by praising Biden’s open boarders policy because illegal aliens can come here and “build a better life and listen to us.”
Somehow I don’t think Guatemalan illegals are jamming to the Celtic punk stylings of Dropkick Murphys but whatever.
“There’s a few out there buying those f*cking hats that these swindlers are selling at that f*cking fair,” said Casey in reference to MAGA hats.
In regards to people who buy MAGA hats, Casey had this to say:
“You’re being duped by the greatest swindler in history of the world. You’re being duped by a bunch of grifters and billionaires who don’t give a shit about you or your family. They care about their f*cking tax breaks and the money they can put in their pocket,” said Casey.
Clearly he’s talking about Trump even though he is more accurately describing Biden and the democrats.
And finally:
“If you consider yourself a patriot, and you’re spouting off that election-denying shit, I will fight your ass outside if you want to. Wake the f*ck up,” Casey said.
Translation: If you have a different opinion than Ken Casey, he wants to kick your ass.
The overall message here is: Trump bad, Biden good.
The question is why? Joe Biden has been in politics so long, he is the establishment. He is part of a regime of wealthy career politicians who steal our money and take away our rights. He is exactly what punk was conceived to oppose.
On the other hand, I have argued this before, Donald Trump was the punk rock President. He was an outsider and rebel who was never supposed to be President in the first place. Bush, Clinton, Bush Jr., Obama, and Biden are all part of the same establishment cabal that feels entitled to permanent control of this country. Trump was never part of this inner circle of tyrants.
Trump shocked the establishment by winning a presidential election they had rigged for him to lose. Once he got into office, he started making real changes that threatened the regime and so they had to destroy him. 2 impeachments, a liberal media propaganda campaign, and another more rigged election and they finally got him out. But that wasn’t good enough so they continue to go after him to make sure he can never run again.
Trump is way more punk rock than a corrupt 79-year-old finger-sucker with Alzheimers.
Dropkick Murphys join Green Day as pseudo-punkers who love taking it up the ass from the authoritarian establishment regime, which is actually the least punk thing possible.
