There was a mass shooting in Raleigh, North Carolina yesterday in which a 15-year-old killed 5 people with a shotgun. Illegitimate president Joe Biden thinks this is more proof that we need an assault weapons ban. Joe’s dementia has now spread to his unconstitutional agenda to strip Americans of their rights.
WRAL reports that 15-year-old Austin Thompson went a shooting spree in Raleigh’s Hedingham neighborhood Thursday at around 5pm. First, he shot and killed his older brother James and then he went on an almost two-mile rampage through the streets, killing 4 more and wounding 2 others.
Police eventually caught up with Thompson and perhaps engaged him in a gun battle. He was taken into custody but had to be hospitalized in critical condition. Police won’t say why or how he was injured.
I suspected that this teen killer didn’t use a so-call assault weapon because none of the major liberal media news outlets mentioned what type of gun he used. If it had ben an AR-15, that would have been in the screaming headlines.
As it turns out, Thompson was armed with a shotgun as the news reports one of the 911 calls made during the shooting:
“I see a white kid running around here with a shotgun,” a caller told dispatchers.
That makes it pretty clear that the killer used a shotgun. Speaking of shotguns, here’s “Shotgun” Joe Biden’s statement on the mass shooting:
Jill and I are grieving with the families in Raleigh, North Carolina, whose loved ones were killed and wounded in yet another mass shooting in America.
Enough. We’ve grieved and prayed with too many families who have had to bear the terrible burden of these mass shootings. Too many families have had spouses, parents, and children taken from them forever.
We must pass an assault weapons ban. The American people support this commonsense action to get weapons of war off our streets.
A kid kills people with a shotgun and Joe Biden says that proves the need for an assault weapons ban? How does that even work?
This is like Biden memorializing a deadly car crash by demanding more airline safety rules. Except of course an assault weapons ban wouldn’t make anyone safer and it’s unconstitutional.
Even if Joe could get an assault weapons ban and somehow confiscate the tens of millions of AR-15s in private hands, it still wouldn’t have prevented this shooting. Democrats sure do love them some pointlessness, don’t they?
The reason why Biden didn’t use this mass shooting committed with a shotgun to badmouth shotguns is that he owns a few. He’s not quite sure how many shotguns he owns, but he’s pretty sure he has some.
Also, Biden doesn’t want to implicate himself because he likely inspired this mass shooting. Biden has said in the past that the best way to deal with trouble is to fire a shotgun blast through the door. And there is this:
“If you want to protect yourself, get a double-barrel shotgun,” said Biden. “If there’s ever a problem…put that double-barrel shotgun and fire two blasts outside the house…You don’t need an AR-15. It’s harder to aim, it’s harder to use, and in fact you don’t need 30 rounds to protect yourself.
Maybe 15-year-old Austin Thompson got spooked by something and remembered: “Joe Biden said if there’s ever a problem, go outside and start blasting away with a shotgun.”
No wonder Joe wants to take the focus off of shotguns and blame assault weapons for this one.
