Joe Biden and the democrats have screwed this country up almost to the point of no return and all indicators were that the Republicans were going to crush them in the midterms. As it stands now, the GOP will probably take control of the House but it doesn’t look likely they will win the Senate. WTF happened? Bad polling? Stupid voters? Democratic party tricks?
Currently the Republicans have won 203 House seats, with 57 races yet to be determined. Chances are they will pick up at least 15 more seats, which would give them the majority but that’s hardly the Red Wave everyone, including the democrats, was expecting.
In the Senate, it’s 49 seats to the Republicans and 48 for the democrats with 3 races too close to call. Unfortunately, those 3 races don’t look good for the GOP:
In Arizona democrat Mark Kelly has a 51% – 46% edge over Blake Masters and we all know how f*cked up elections are in that state.
The Georgia race between Raphael Warnock and Herschel Walker has the democrat up 49% – 48% with 98% of the votes counted.
In Nevada, Republican Adam Laxalt is up 49% – 47%, which seems encouraging but there’s still a lot of votes to be counted and this is another state with election issues.
Even if Laxalt hangs on, that’s going to leave the Senate at 50/50 split with democrats having the edge with illegitimate vp Kamala Harris being the tie-breaker.
Republicans lost a real opportunity in Pennsylvania where democrat John Fetterman, an actual retard, beat Trump-backed Republican Mahmet Oz.
Republicans did managed to shine in the governor’s races. Republican Ron DeSantis crushed democrat challenger Charlie Crist by 20 points. Democrat Beto O’Rourke became a 3-time loser in Texas, falling to Republican incumbent Greg Abbott by double-digits. Democrat Stacy Abrams lost again to Republican Brian Kemp by 8 points and this time she actually conceded.
Republican Joe Lombardo looks poised to unseat democrat incumbent Steve Sisolak in Nevada and Republican Kari Lake still has hopes to beat democrat Katy Hobbs in Arizona. Then again, as was already mentioned, both of these states have some very suspicious election practices.
And all of this brings us back to the question: WTF happened to the Red wave? People are fed up with Biden and the democrats, plus traditionally a first term president’s party gets their asses handed to them in the midterms and yet here we are with a pink trickle instead of a crimson tsunami.
One of the reasons I think the Republicans underperformed is because we had a lot of joke candidates on the ballot. Fetterman, Warnock, and Kelly are all democrats that should have been easily defeated if the GOP had put up serious contenders instead of the collection of dopes, dingbats, dullards they fielded.
Some Republicans are saying that Trump is to blame for Dr. Oz, Herschel Walker, and Blake Masters and I believe that to be true as well. Seriously, these races were ours to lose and we handed them over to the democrats with underwhelming candidates.
Another reason could be that the polling was way off. Usually the polling is off in favor of the democrats and maybe the pollsters got tried of looking wrong so they skewed them in favor of the Republicans. I’m not sure about this theory because either way, the pollsters look like fools and frauds.
The only other thing I can think of to explain the lack of a Red wave is the democrats fixing the races again. The did it in 2020 to take total control of the federal government so why wouldn’t they do it in 2022 to keep their stolen power? If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.
