Liberals Warn Democracy Will Die If Republicans Win Midterms

Joe Biden’s illegitimate presidency has been such a legitimate disaster that even delusional democrats know they’re in for an ass-whooping in the midterm elections. That however doesn’t mean they are throwing in the towel. They still have fear mongering. In a sad attempt to thwart the inevitable, liberals are warning that democracy will literally die if Republicans win the midterm elections.

Foreign policy “expert” Ian Bremmer was on CBS Mornings to discuss what he considers the biggest global risks in 2022. Apparently Republicans winning big in the midterm elections is something that could not only destroy democracy, but the entire planet:

“This is the most important midterm election in American history. we have Jan. 6 coming up in just a day and, as you know, since the profoundly challenged elections of 2020, no lessons have been learned at all in the United States,” said Bremmer.

Plenty of lessons have been learned since 2020: Joe Biden stole the election and is the worst president in American history. In fact, those lessons are why the democrats are going to get hammered in 2022. Speaking of which:

“The country is much more divided and a large number of Americans, some 64 percent in an NPR poll yesterday said they thought the United States democracy was in crisis. Unlike countries like Japan and Germany and Canada in the last few months have had very successful elections, the United States has an election process that is increasingly broken, increasingly delegitimized,” Bremmer continued.

Then, the money shot:

“And the midterm elections especially if you have a significant win for a Trump-led Republican Party means the 2024 is going to be seen as illegitimate and potentially a constitutional crisis. In the world’s most powerful country it’s hard not to rank that high on your list,” said Bremmer.

So the only way 2024 will be seen as legitimate is if the democrats win in 2022?

Sadly, CBS cohost Tony Dokoupil agreed, saying, “It’s deeply worrying.”

Eric “Duke Nukem Fang-Banger Gasbag” Swalwell took this idea up a notch by claiming if the Republicans win the midterms, it will be the last election in the U.S.

“I’m worried that if Republicans win in the midterm elections, that voting as we know it in this country will be gone. They’re already putting as many barriers to the ballot box as possible in Arizona, Florida, Texas, Georgia. And on the other side of the finish line, they’re putting in place processes where they could reverse the outcome even if we crawl through glass and run through the fire to get to the ballot box. And so if they are able to win the House, the damage they could do to permanently make it difficult to vote and just alter the way that we participate in the democratic process could be irreversible,” said Swalwell.

The only thing new election laws in red states do is make it a little harder for democrats to cheat.

“This is not only the most important election. If we don’t get it right, it could be the last election. Because they’re also putting in place what I believe is a way to make sure that Donald Trump wins with what they’re doing across state legislatures to allow them to reverse the outcome and the electoral college,” Swalwell said.

In classic liberal double-speak, Swalwell is trying to argue that the democratic process of electing officials will end up killing democracy.

With this, liberals are trying to delegitimize the shellacking they know is coming in the 2022 midterm elections. Elections only count if they win.
