Texas Governor Greg Abbott Takes Bold Action to Combat the ‘Invasion’ at the Border

Governor Greg Abbott, fresh off a resounding reelection win last week over perennial also-ran Beto O’Rourke, has made a bold move in combatting the ongoing crisis at the southern border:

Having declared an Invasion at the Southern Border, Governor Abbott is invoking clauses in the U.S. and Texas constitutions to defend Texas against “an invasion.”

This from redstate.com.

This comes after Friday’s resignation of Chris Magnus, [the Obiden Regime’s] commissioner of U.S. Customs and Border Protection.

Under the Obiden Regime, illegal crossings into the United States have skyrocketed.

Fox News’ Bill Melugin, who has done tremendous work exposing the realities of the border crisis, has the numbers:

This move by Gov. Abbott indicates he has no faith in the current administration’s ability—or desire—to clean up the mess at the border.

Abbott’s move comes on the heels of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas testifying today before the House Committee on Homeland Security, where he claimed the Obiden Regime is “working day in and day out” to address the issues at the border.

Referencing a claim Mayorkas made before the Judiciary Committee this summer, North Carolina Rep. Dan Bishop asked:

Secretary Mayorkas, do you continue to maintain that the border is secure?

Mayorkas responded:

Yes, and we are working day in and day out to enhance security, congressman.

Bishop went on to state:

“Mayorkas denies reality about the crisis.”

And this is an obvious observation with which Governor Abbott clearly agrees.

Abbott’s order will see the National Guard deploy to the border, increase land and sea patrols, and form a compact with other states—even foreign powers—to stem the “invasion.” Also, included will be the building of a wall along several sections of the border.

Final thoughts: States are being forced to act unilaterally or bilaterally toward self-preservation and in defense of their citizens—Washington has unconstitutionally refused to provide assistance. The Federal Government—the Obiden Regime—is operating toward alternative—suicidal—goals for Our once-great Nation.

In fact, secession or a modified secession in which participating states cease contributing to the Federal coffers, using necessary funds to perform functions which the Federal government is refusing to perform, may be one possibility for the near future.

What next, the Federales invading Texas?
