Kevin McCarthy, who is busily campaigning for Speaker of the House, has said that one of the first things the Republican controlled House will do is repeal the addition of 87,000 new IRS agents.
Conservatives have been expressing varying degrees of skepticism about McCarthy as Speaker, despite the image of hard work he is attempting to portray.
Breitbart News reported:
Friday, during an appearance on FNC’s “Jesse Watters Primetime,” House Republican leader Kevin McCarthy teased Congress’ immediate upcoming actions to start 2023.
First up, according to the California Republican, after electing the Speaker of the House was to repeal the 87,000 IRS agents provision passed by Congress earlier this year.
McCarthy said:
Great question—the first thing we have to do is elect our Speaker. We can’t do anything until we elect that Speaker.
And if you watch, the White House is actually pushing back on our investigations, saying we’re not going to give you anything till you get this solved. So, we need to be able to move forward with that.
McCarthy continued:
Then, on the very first day, the first thing we’re going to do is repeal the 87,000 IRS agents.

The image portrayed is that McCarthy is raring to go.
But, of course, he was interviewed by someone who approves of him.
I’d prefer to watch one of our Def-Con-ers throw him a dozen high hard ones back-to-back. Wipe that smile off his face.
The Biden White House is used to House Democrats and the media sweeping essential oversight under the rug.

Should Conservatives at least give him a chance?
If he’s allowed into the position for a trial run, will there be no getting rid of him if he fails to live up to his hype—as many of us fear?
Final thought: The axiom ‘Measure twice, cut once,’ comes to mind. Conservatism is occupied taking the measure of Kevin McCarthy. But will the determination soon be that he is not cut out to perform the Speaker’s job?
Those with a vote MUST keep in mind that ‘adequate’ is not good enough. The future of our Constitutional Republic demands action not talk.
