El Paso Rushes to Remove Illegal Immigrants and Disperse Migrant Camps Ahead of Joe Biden’s Visit

Biden departs El Paso after brief border visit without seeing most impacted areas, critics say.

Sunday, he visited the US-Mexico border for the first time in his life at the age of 80.

This from thegatewaypundit.com.

It has gotten so overwhelming, and bizarre, that illegal aliens are popping up out of sewers in El Paso, Texas.

Just a few weeks ago Fox News reporter Bill Melugin released video of the extreme overcrowding at the Border Patrol Central Processing Center in El Paso, Texas.

4,600 migrants were in a facility that can only house 1,040.

The streets of El Paso have been taken over by migrant tents.

But the tents were cleared out just in time for Joe Biden so the streets looked clean for his photo op.

The Washington Examiner reported:

City sidewalks that transformed into makeshift homeless camps as tens of thousands of illegal immigrants were released into downtown El Paso in recent months [were] cleared out ahead of Joe Biden’s arrival.

The hundreds of people camped out on individual blocks surrounding the Greyhound Bus Station and Sacred Heart Church have been moved out of eyesight by local El Paso police officers and federal Border Patrol agents, according to four law enforcement officials who spoke with the Washington Examiner on Thursday.

A senior federal agent wrote in a text message:

The [community residents] that experienced it on a daily basis were fed up and they made it known. Crime was getting bad and many residents were complaining.

Some migrants even took over private parking lots and were charging for people to use them for parking.

The Washington Examiner continued:

The undertaking began last week after authorities discovered several groups of people on the streets were pretending to have been released by Border Patrol but had never been arrested and were considered unlawfully present.

Texas Governor Greg Abbott blasted Joe Biden for traveling to El Paso for a ‘photo op.’

The following from foxnews.com.

Biden himself recently said he had “more important things” to do than visit the border despite the historic security crisis there.

Biden’s announcement on border security and his visit to the border are partly aimed at quelling the political noise and blunting the impact of upcoming investigations into immigration promised by House Republicans.

Any enduring solution, however, will require action by the sharply divided Congress, where multiple efforts to enact sweeping changes have failed in recent years.

Final thought: For Joe-Joe, just another damn photo op and, of course, a stop for ice cream.
