Joe Bien has tanked the economy and made every American poorer. The rich can weather this storm, but the middle and working classes are struggling because of him. No worries, the illegitimate president has a perfect solution for those who are hurting from his economic policies: just buy a $100,000 electric vehicle and all of your money woes will go away.
Grocery stores are opening finance departments just so people can afford to buy eggs on a payment plan, and natural gas is now a luxury item reserved for the top 1%. Meanwhile, in Joe Biden’s fantasy land:
On my watch, the great American road trip is going to be fully electrified.
And now, through a tax credit, you can get up to $7,500 on a new electric vehicle. pic.twitter.com/n3iZ9etL4A

Let’s see if we can if we can break down these numbers. A person who is struggling to make ends meet can get a $7,500 tax credit and all they have to do is come up with $100,000 to plunk down on an electric vehicle? What’s the catch?
Actually, the vehicle Biden is sitting in is a GMC Hummer EV Pickup and they retail for $112,595. Fully loaded, these vehicles can go for more than $200,000. The average yearly salary in the United States is $54,132 so if one were to forgo food and shelter for 4 years, they could have one of these badboys. Plus they’d get a sweet $7,500 tax credit to boot.
Because this is Joe Biden, this tone-deaf tweet comes with a certain level of stupidity as well. The GMC Hummer EV Pickup isn’t even eligible for the $7,500 tax credit. Biden capped the tax credit for electric vehicles at $80,000. What a dick.
But wait, it gets worse because the IRS hasn’t even decided whether or not they will allow the tax credit for any electric vehicle. They won’t make a ruling until March, so if you were to take Joe’s financial advice and buy a car you don’t need, there’s a chance you won’t even get the $7,500 tax credit.
Also, the great American road trip isn’t going to be electrified on Joe’s watch, because those vehicles are incapable of making long journeys. The average range of an EV is less than 250 miles, at which point they need to be recharged. Fully recharging an EV battery pack takes between 8 and 40 hours. Imagine how long it would take to drive across the country in one of these expensive things.
What makes this tweet the biggest piece of shit ever is that Biden is trying to make it seem like his administration is doing something to help people struggling because of his disastrous policies. He’s saying, “Look, I’m giving you $7,500 in these troubling economic times.” The reality however is that he is subsidizing rich people buying luxury electric vehicles.
No working or middle class person can afford one of these EVs and even if they could, wouldn’t want one. The issue right now is putting food on the table and covering the rent or mortgage, not pretending to save the planet with an expensive and inconvenient electric vehicle.
