Seconds After Man Attempts to Rob Wheelchair Veteran He Gets Nailed with 2A Reality

It’s doubtful criminals will learn from this—but, hey, that’s what makes reading about these foiled crimes enjoyable.

This from thepatriotjournal.com.

In blue cities, criminals have free reign. But outside those liberal bubbles, Americans don’t play games. In the patriotic heart of the country, we respect our police and law and order. And we’re not afraid to stand up for our rights when some lowlife tries to take them from us.

Case in point:

Some dirtbag went after a man in Houston, TX. Texas!? This criminal really is a moron. [He] tried to rob a man in a wheelchair. Really? I guess this punk thought the man who couldn’t walk was a sitting duck. He found out the hard way what Texans are like.

From KHOU 11:

A man in a wheelchair shot another man who tried to rob him in downtown Houston on Monday, according to investigators…

Authorities said the victim was in a wheelchair when a man approached him and tried to steal a bag. The victim pulled out a gun and fired several shots…

Investigators said the man in the wheelchair was a veteran who was waiting to catch a ride to go home.

Damn! This punk thought he could rob a veteran in a wheelchair. Is there anything viler than that? Perhaps trying to rob a nun in a hospital bed!

The criminal tried to take a bag from the man, who was waiting for a ride home.

Little did this criminal know that this wheelchair-bound veteran was no victim. He drew a gun and fired several shots.

Getting shot brought an immediate end to the attempted theft. The would-be thief ran away but collapsed several hundred yards from the scene. He was taken by police to the hospital and was treated for his gunshot wounds.

NOTE: Criminals thrive on fear and the belief that people are defenseless.

Two lessons to be learned here:

 1. As long as we have the Second Amendment, anyone can protect themselves from becoming an easy target.

 2. With a million-plus firearms being sold each month—month after month—criminals must now, more than ever, assume everyone is armed and trained to use.

Final thoughts: We can assume the wheelchair-bound veteran will be back at the range today practicing his marksmanship. “Several shots” fired means the perp should have been removed from the attempted-crime scene in a body bag. Better shooting next time, fellow veteran. And, thank you for your service.
