Kamala Harris Thinks It’s Racist That Black Teen Was Shot Breaking Into A House

There have been two incidents recently where a person was shot for being at the wrong house. A black teen in Missouri was shot and survived as he tried to enter the home of an elderly white man, and a white woman fatally killed by a white man in New York when she pulled into the wrong driveway. Illegitimate vice president Kamala Harris is only outraged by one of these. Can you guess which one?

Luckily, we have this apples-to-apples comparison to demonstrate the virtue-signaling, race-based, selective outrage of the left. First, let’s take a look at a shooting that liberals are outraged over, as reported by Fox News:

Charges were filed Monday against an elderly Kansas City, Missouri, man who shot through his front glass door at a Black teen last week, striking the victim twice, Clay County Prosecuting Attorney Zachary Thompson announced.

Andrew Lester, an 85-year-old White male, is facing one count of armed assault and one count of armed criminal action for shooting 16-year-old Ralph Yarl with a .32-caliber pistol around 10 p.m. Thursday.

Yarl was released from the hospital Sunday and is recovering at home from gunshot wounds to his head and arm.

Thompson said at a press conference Monday that “there was a racial component” to the shooting.

Yarl’s aunt, Faith Spoonmore, wrote in a GoFundMe that her nephew was picking up his younger brothers at a friend’s house last Thursday evening and accidentally went to the wrong home one block away because he didn’t have his phone.

Lester told police that he had just gone to bed when he heard his doorbell ring, so he picked up his gun and went to the door, according to the probable cause statement. He saw a Black male pulling at the exterior door handle and shot twice through the glass door because he thought his house was being broke into, the statement said.

There’s no indication that Lester and Yarl exchanged any words, and no one else witnessed the shooting, the prosecutor said.

OK, so this teen didn’t know where his brothers were so he randomly tried to enter houses, looking for them? That doesn’t make much sense, but the shooting sure does. If someone is trying to enter your house in the dead of night, there’s a 99.9% chance that they are up to no good. Even Joe Biden recommends shooting through your door to scare away intruders.

The other thing that makes no sense is the prosecutor saying there is a racial component to this justified self-defense shooting. Why? Because the homeowner is white and the would-be burglar is black? Lester and Yarl exchanged no words, so how are they making this a hate crime?

Now, let’s take a look at a shooting that hasn’t sparked any outrage from the left, as reported by The NY Post:

A 20-year-old woman was shot dead by an upstate New York homeowner Saturday night after the driver of the car she was riding in turned into the wrong driveway, authorities said.

Kaylin Gillis, from Saratoga County, was inside the vehicle with three pals when they made a wrong turn into a driveway while searching for a friend’s house in the town of Hebron, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office said.

As the driver of the car was leaving, Kevin Monahan, the owner of the home the group accidentally pulled up to, allegedly fired two shots from his patio at the vehicle, authorities said.

Gillis was struck by one of the bullets.

Monahan, 65, was arrested and charged with second-degree murder, Sheriff Jeffrey Murphy said during a Monday press conference.

After the gunshots rang out around 10 p.m., Gillis and the friends drove away until they could call for help in a neighboring town, Murphy said, noting the area lacks reliable cellphone service.

Gillis was pronounced dead when first responders reached the car.

You may notice a complete lack of reporting on the races of the shooter and victim, which is how you know they were both white. If the shooter had been black and the victim white, they still wouldn’t report the races, but in this case both were/are white.

Now, let’s find out which one of these shootings has Kamalatoe crying racism:

Fighting for his life? He was already released from the hospital, with minor injures, before Harris sent this tweet. Also, he lived. Harris didn’t not send a tweet out praying for Kaylin Gillis, who died, or her family. She isn’t fighting for an America where white women don’t have to fear being shot for pulling into the wrong driveway.
