US Navy Hopes Drag Queen Will Improve Slumping Recruitment Numbers

The Pentagon clearly learned nothing from the Dylan Mulvaney/Bud Light fiasco. In order to improve on its historically bad recruiting numbers, the U.S. Navy has deployed a drag queen. If the goal is to recruit more weirdos, it’s still not going to work, but it’s definitely not a way to attract competent sailors.

The NY Post gives another example of the sad state of affairs in Biden’s Defense Department:

The US Navy invited an active-duty drag queen to be a “Digital Ambassador” – as part of a recent drive “to attract the most talented and diverse workforce” and combat plunging recruitment.

Yeoman 2nd Class Joshua Kelley, who identifies as non-binary, was appointed as the first of five Navy Digital Ambassadors in a pilot program that ran from October to March.

Kelley, whose stage name is Harpy Daniels, has shared their journey on TikTok and Instagram, where they described how they began performing onboard and became an “advocate” for people who “were oppressed for years in the service.”

This is already pathetic, but check out the thing at the end of this:

“From joining to 2016 and being able to share my drag experience on my off time with my fellow sailors has been a blessing,” Kelley wrote on Instagram in November when announcing their appointment as a digital ambassador to their more than 8,000 followers.

8,000 followers? At least Dylan Mulvaney has millions of followers. Who exactly does the Navy think this ill-conceived message is going to reach?

But wait, it gets worse. Observe:

That’s a dude in a dress, who thinks he can get pregnant and have abortions. Welcome to Joe Biden’s military. I imagine that Russia and China think this is f*cking hilarious, BTW.

The ambassador program was launched as the Navy is trying to boost its size to 347,000 members in 2024, up from the current 341,736 serving in fiscal year 2023, according to the Navy Times.

It committed to recruit and retain personnel through fostering an inclusive culture and ensuring they feel “included and connected to mission and leaders at all levels,” according to the latest diversity, equity and inclusion policy updates cited by the Daily Caller.

Well, there’s yer problem. The key to a strong military is brave, selfless, hardworking men and women, not delicate snowflakes who aren’t sure if they are men or women. I’m glad I was able to clear that up for the Pentagon.

The unofficial motto for the U.S. Navy is “Non sibi sed patriae” which means, “Not self but country.” A man putting on a dress and pretending to be a woman is all about himself, and has nothing to do with serving this country.

But since the Navy has decided to make a drag queen their mascot, I’d like to help out with some pithy slogans they can use:

Drag your girl balls down to the U.S. Navy recruiting office.

U.S. Navy: Queens of the sea.

Join our absolutely fabulous flotilla.

My Grandfather served in the Navy during WWII. He was actually a pretty open-minded guy, but I don’t think he’d be anything but mortified by what has become of his beloved branch of service.
