A group that once prided itself—perhaps falsely and over-zealously—in how it “helped” minorities and represented common Americans has gone off the deep end. Leftists seem hell-bent on pushing as much socialism as they can these days. They ignore the very people they claim to represent, putting illegal aliens, Ukrainians, and China ahead of Americans.
Once great American cities are crumbling—at the fault of the Left. One blue city was a major tourist destination, on top of being considered one of the greatest cities in the world. Today, it is a wasteland. And one of its natives, a long-serving democrat (of old) lawmaker, is exposing the left’s downfall. He is doing it, while making a big move.

A New York Jewish leader who served as a Democratic lawmaker for decades announced that he is switching to the Republican party stating that members of his former party have been ‘radicalized’ and ‘turned their back’ on the Jewish people.
Dov Hikind… tweeted: ‘It’s official: My wife and I have switched our party affiliation from Democrat to Republican!’
Wow. Dov Hikind served as a New York State Assemblyman for 36 years. For that entire time, he was a [democrat]. He joined the party because he believed it respected and defended the rights of Jewish Americans.
But now, he and his wife have switched parties and have become Republicans. This will send shockwaves through the Jewish community in NYC, which is a strong democrat voting bloc.
Hikind seemed to be breaking from the party for years now. He often criticized [democrats’] unwillingness to rebuke anti-Israel and anti-Semitic members in Congress.
Hikind is also a supporter of Donald Trump, especially when the president supported the nation of Israel.
The Jewish leader called out democrats for becoming “radicalized.” He pointed out that moderates and conservatives are no longer welcome in the party. He said he’s “had enough” and has jumped ship.
This is one of many leaders who have recently, publicly left the democrat party. Many of them have become Republicans, while a few registered as independents. Many of them cite the same reasons as Hikind—that democrats are not ‘representing our values.’
With Hikind’s announcement, the switch may become a tidal wave.
Final thoughts: Some of you are thinking, ‘Another damn RINO,’ but I believe these newer crossovers have seen enough to run—not walk—away from their roots.
Hikind was a loyal democrat until the party left him. I have faith (and hope) he will be a loyal Republic for many years to come.
